Steel's pretty agreeable when you're not going out of your way to annoy him, and although I'm not entirely sure about Steve's and your history, I'm sure it's nothing worth locking yourself out of your Dorm over.

Some people get put in dorms with people they requested not to be with, as well as with people they requested to be with. If you can't deal with that fact, then perhaps the dorms just aren't for you.

Also, more seriously: The responses and wishes of 40-some people are in play. You don't get a dorm designed exclusively for you based on how loud you whine (unless you're Chik). The people who requested you were almost all in Koridai. Don't like Steve, don't talk to him. Though he's just so gosh darn CUTE. Lots of people ended up with those they didn't want. It's an inevitable happening. But they aren't throwing hissy fits.
