Anyway, as I said in the other thread, shipping is really strange and sometimes even disturbing. Compared to the Harry Potter and Pokemon fandoms, we Zelda fans have it easy.

I was never a shipper, I guess shipping and timeline fandoms were kind of separate. So I guess I missed out on that. I do remember Zelda Universe doing a series of articles on the subject back in 2002-2003, though.

But there were seriously Link/Impa shippers? The same Impa who is a wrinkly old lady in every other game. Next you'll be telling me that there's Link/Telma shippers. Now I know why I never got into shipping. I valued my sanity too much.

It kind of makes sense... Anybody played OoT who was attracted to Impa and related themselves to Link, probably could have manifested in their mind some kind of relationship between him and her. It's a typical preteen boy's fantasy...

I've actually seen stuff like that. In some instances, they raise Link's age. In other instances, they don't.

If we're talking about favourites - Link x Malon, Link x Marin must get a mention. But OoT puts too many love interests in front of him. MM seems to have little, unless I'm forgetting something. AND its the same Link.
