The time has finally arrived to nominate combatants for the upcoming JRPomazon Grand Tournament. Some of you have probably no idea how to do this, so I will be explaining how to submit a combatant:

Name:
The name of the combatant

Origin:
If a fictional character, where the combatant is from (ex. Frodo Baggins - The Lord of the Rings)

Description:
A short description of the combatant, 3 sentences at the shortest, 2 paragraphs at the longest.

Members can nominate up to 2 combatants. Follow this format or submissions will not be valid.

Edit: Also add a picture or photograph of the combatant.

And finally, previous tournament winners cannot be nominated for new tournaments. Link and Vaati from the Legend of Zelda Series, Sean Connery, Adolf Hitler and Darth Vader from Star Wars cannot be nominated.

We have 32 open spots, I'll be expecting you all to help fill them up.

Squirrel Girl

Marvel Universe

Description:
Escaping the taunts of her fellow school students regarding her physical mutation, Los-Angeles born Doreen Green fled into the nearby woods where she quickly discovered her affinity for squirrels. Idolizing Iron Man, she adopted the costumed identity of Squirrel Girl in the hope of becoming his crime-fighting partner. Upon finally meeting him, she single-handedly defeated Iron Man's nemesis, the despotic Doctor Doom, overwhelming him with the squirrels under her control. Nevertheless, Iron Man declined her offer of partnership.

Following her defeat of Dr. Doom, an ongoing joke depicts Squirrel Girl repeatedly attaining victory over various villains, some of whom are considerably more powerful than she is (i.e. Mandarin, Giganto, MODOK, Thanos, Terrax, Bug-Eyed Voice, Bi-Beast, Deadpool, Pluto). Typically, these victories occur off-panel, though some, like her battle with Deadpool, are fully shown. Deadpool, having been bested by her twice, considers Squirrel Girl to be one of the major powers of the Marvel Universe, comparing her to Iron Man and Thor.

Description:
The Librarian first appeared in the first novel of the series, The Colour of Magic, and was transformed into an orangutan in "The Light Fantastic" as the Octavo fired a beam of magic upwards (a sort of systemwide, in this case universe-wide, update intended to save the Eighth Creation Spell (and thus Rincewind) from falling off the disc). Discovering that being an orangutan has certain advantages for a librarian, he refused to be transformed back into a human, and has remained an orangutan ever since. Most of the grimoires are highly dangerous to people, sometimes consuming them, but the Librarian is no person, and no longer requires a ladder to reach those tricky high-up shelves. He retained his position as librarian despite his condition because "he's the only one who knows where all the books are" and the fact that he could screw a man's head off with his feet. The other wizards have gradually become used to the situation, to the extent that "if someone ever reported that there was an orangutan in the Library, the wizards would probably go and ask the Librarian if he'd seen it."

The Librarian is known for his violent reaction whenever he hears anyone refer to him as a "monkey" (orangutans are apes). He speaks an elaborate language whose vocabulary consists of the single word Ook (and its antonym "eek" - where "ook" means yes, "eek" tends to mean no). Nonetheless, most people seem to be able to understand him. Both his language and his reaction were used separately and together as jokes in the first Discworld game.

Origin:: Macross (Robotech)

Description:
Roy was a renowned fighter pilot for UN forces following the crash of the SDF-1 Macross. He became the first person to test and master the Veritech, a new fighter built from alien technology. During the war against the Zentraedi, he was the original leader of the famous Skull squadron, adored by all his fellow pilots. He was a notorious flirt and womanizer, but even managed to find love with Claudia, one of the Macross' bridge officers. Like most great aces of history, Roy was killed in action well before his time. His tragic death saddened fans around the globe, but he lives on as a legend. Farewell, big brother!

Origin: Looking For Group

Description: An undead Warlock who willfully sows destruction without any provocation whatsoever, Richard is Cale's character foil and serves as the strip's comic relief. He is depicted as manipulative, powerful, and exceedingly evil, although he is also childishly playful. Richard is very sensitive about his less-than-threatening name and reacts aggressively (normally trying to reduce Cale to ash) to Cale's nickname for him - "Dick".

Origin: Dead or Alive series; Ninja Gaiden Series
Description: Ryu Hayabusa is essentially the most badass videogame character of all time. And the only ninja worthy of the title of Super-Ninja. He is a master of multiple weapons including giant scythes, bladed nunchaku, twin katanas, and swords big enough to rival Cloud's. Get in his way and you will die. Period. Even Chuck Norris wouldn't stand a chance against him. He's killed more mutants, soldiers, members of the spider-ninja clan, and evil deities than probably anyone else.

Description: Batman is not the greatest super-hero of all time because of his powers, because he is genetically a normal human. Nor is it because of the number of times he's saved the world, because his close friend and ally Superman has him beaten on that front. Several times over. No, Batman is the greatest superhero of all time because any responsibility he feels for the city of Gotham he has taken on his own shoulders. Unlike Superman, he was not born with the power, and thus the responsibility to protect others. Nor is he like Spiderman, who had the power and responsibility thrust upon him. Batman chose to sacrifice his own personal happiness and chance of a normal life in order to protect others, seeking out and taking power for himself to achieve that goal. One of the most inspirational stories ever, Rocky's struggle through the merciless Streets of Philadelphia, staving off poverty as a loan shark and fighting for scraps of money rises to fight the Heavyweight Champion of the World, Apollo Creed. From there he defeats Mr.T and Ivan Drago- himself a machine of a soviet athlete; jacked out on, like, a thousand CC's of anabolic horse steroids. But Rocky doesn't care, and beats the crap out of both of them! Rocky keeps getting into ridiculous shape and fighting champions even when everyone says that he's too old and decrepit. That's how awesome he is.

Origin: Popstar (Kirby Series)

Description: Meta Knight follows a code of honor, and lends Kirby a sword before they fight to be fair. He is called Kirby's rival, and often fights with him for different reasons, though they often have the same goal. He wields a powerful sword that is called "Master" (Galaxia in the anime), which can create tornadoes, waves of fire, and electric force fields. Meta Knight wears a navy blue cloak that he can use as a set of wings, and wears a light blue-silver mask. Under his mask, he looks like Kirby, except that his body is blue and his facial features are white. In Kirby no Kirakira Kizzu, it is shown that his eyes are pure white underneath his mask. Source.

Name: Raziel


Origin: Legacy of Kain series; specifically Soul Reaver-LoK:Defiance.

Description: Raziel was foremost of Kain's servants, until he had the audacity to surpass Kain and grow wings. His punishment was, of course, to be thrown into the abyss at the lake of the dead, a traitor's death. (see the video here) He was spared from total annihilation by the Elder God and became one of his Reavers of Souls. Being self-righteous to a fault, he was duped by the Elder God into Enacting revenge on Kain.

Raziel failed to kill Kain, but Kain's weapon, the Soul Reaver broke and the spirit within it attached itself to Raziel's arm. Pursuing Kain, Raziel found, and killed, his former Vampire brethren (absorbing their powers ala MegaMan), and followed Kain back in time. Raziel learned more about the world, confronted Kain, who convinced him not to kill him, (which was no small effort on the part of Raziel, as the forces of nature themselves seemed to be trying to force Raziel's hand) and killed his former brethren again (this time their Sarafan human selves) and ends up killing himself. (as in, Raziel the Soul Reaver kills Raziel the Sarafan.) After killing himself, it is revealed that the spirit of the Sould Reaver is none other than himself, driven mad by millenia trapped inside the sword. He is saved from being trapped within the (physical) sword by Kain, but is drained of strength and trapped in the grip of the Elder God.

Having knowledge of his ultimate fate, Raziel gives the Elder God the slip and seeks out a way to avoid his fate, (while at the same time, Kain follows his "other way" to save the world.) In the end, Raziel realizes that the Elder God is the one pulling the strings, and that in order to defeat him, he must allow himself to be imprisoned in the Soul Reaver and thusly give Kain the ability to defeat the Elder God.

He currently has more power and reach in the Marvel Universe than any other supervillain.

Description
He's a 8 foot tall anthropomorphic tiger who loves his Frosted Flakes/Frosties. There is little he can't do if he eats a bowl of delicious Frosted Flakes/Frosties first, and I'm guessing being a giant tiger means he's pretty strong to begin with. He's been around since the 50's and apparently has a son. In Spanish his name is "El Tigre Toño," so he kind of sounds like a luchadore, and that's kind of awesome.

Description:
Video Games and TV critic, writer. Most famous for his show Screenwipe, in which he brutally highlights all that is bad about TV as well as having a few sincere moments of praise or honest interviewing. He has even teamed up with David Firth (creator of Salad Fingers, Devvo and I'm sure you know the rest) for animations in his program. If Brooker can't open your mind in some malign way you're probably already enlightened enough to never leave a cave again. His main activity seems to involve him sitting in front of the TV, complaining. He has recently produced a TV series Dead Set about a zombie apocalypse with the Big Brother house as a last refuge.

Origin: Transformers, specifically Generation 1 comics and Cybertron

Description: Transformers fiction is a wide, vast multiverse of different continuities and canons, all contradicting and near infinite even without fans trying to justify things. Through all these universes, only two beings exist everywhere at once, as the same single entity. One is Unicron - Chaos Bringer, Dark god, The End of All Things - and the other is Primus. Primus is the god and creator of all Transformers across all the unvierses, beginning eons ago when both he and his "brother" Unicron were created. After temporarily halting Unicron's destruction by trapping him within his more well known planet shell, Primus created life with the first Transformer, Prima. He made 13 in all, the original Transformers, and from here were born the multiverses of the franchise. In some, he's merely a reverent name known to both Autobot/Maximal and Decepticon/Predacon/Vehicon alike, but in others he takes a far more personal appearance, none mroeso then in Cybertron, where he is forced by a cataclysmic event to awaken physically from his eternal slumber in this particular universe, and in a fairly impressive moment unfurls and transforms from his dormant state as the very planet of Cybertron into his full blown form as Primus. It is only by his power that the Unciron Singularity, a blackhole that threatened not only the Unicron Trilogy's universe hut that of all Transformers worlds, was halted, and things were returned to the status quo. And so, Primus again sleeps, until he is needed again.

Name: Tails Doll

Origin: Sonic R -- Sonic the Hedgehog

Description: A doll created by Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik with the intention of destroying the one who it was modelled after, Miles "Tails" Prower. Unlike most of Robotnik's creations, the Tails Doll has the ability to suck out the souls of its victims, and somewhere along its lifetime it acquired a thirst for blood and gore; because of this, it prefers to inspire fear in its targets before brutally murdering them and devouring their soul. The resulting murders are too graphic and disturbing to describe here, but the M.O. fo rthe murders was leaked: the phrase "Can you feel the sunshine?" being written with the victim's blood on whatever surface was provided. The doll was thought to be destroyed by Sonic and friends, buried in a grave at the top of a hill as it slowly became a ghost story. However, the participants of the Grand Tournament are about to learn that not only are not all ghost stories fiction, but that some evil is too powerful to remain buried...

Name: Claus the Masked Man

Origin: Mother 3 -- Mother/Earthbound

Description: A teenage boy who, quite literally, fell in with the wrong crowd. Manipulated and brainwashed by a tyrant, he was transformed into a half-man-half-machine with the purpose of leading said tyrant's army. He is the brother of Lucas, the story's protagonist, and has more than one confrontation with his twin, eventually resulting in his untimely demise. Through forces and reasons unexplained, he has risen from his grave and taken on the identity of the Masked Man one last time to participate in the Grand Tournament.
