She's my first rat. I've been really wanting one for years... and decided that yesterday was the day! To buy everything (cage, food, bedding, chew sticks, water bottle, treats, and rat) was $117 at pet smart. The cage was the best one there and it was 50% off

Sondilyn. Your eyes! Omg your eyes! I am not normally the sort to actually like blue eyes, but omg. Your eyes are amazing. I think it every time I see a pic of you.

Oh and good luck with the rattie! Boy or girl? I know lots of people are all boys are nicer, but all the girls I've had have been so sweet. my little white girl I have right now? All she wants to do is be held and cuddled. My two boys? They just want food. Stick a hand in to pet them? They are more likely to try and eat it.. but I absolutely love their coloring!

She's a girl. Pet smart said they don't carry males but the reason they don't is that they are more prone to get testicular cancer and other health problems and they don't want to sell pets with that likeliness. The woman who helped me out said that girls are a little more active, sweeter and curious where as the boys like to eat but since they're laid back they're a little easier to train. I'm training Juniper with banana chips right now. I'm glad I got her. The little spot of blue fur and her blue eyes. They look like little juniper berries.
