a question concerning ganons trident

The trident itself seems to be what gave birth to Ganon's initial magic (like Vaati and the wishing hat) and then he used said power to try and claim the Triforce.

to me he looked like an amalgam of desert animals.. his nose was almost rabbitlike, and his tail half reptilian half scorpionish.. so.. bleh.

Let's say you had OoT early in your timeline.
OoT - Moblins were bulldog like creatures
Then we all know that the Wind Waker comes after OoT, no debating this.
TWW - Moblins were pig like creatures, so they must have evolved at this point
Now let's say you had AoL later on down the timeline, for some it is the ending one.
AoL - Moblins were bulldog creatures
What happened here, did the Moblins de-evolve or something.
My personal theory is Moblins just come in different aspects, much as Gohma does at times.
Now Kairu Hakubi you can think that the 8 bit sprite from the Legend of Zelda looks like a lizard man to you, but there are too many different sources which believe otherwise. Now while Valiant Comics and Rysher Entertainment are not canon sources, they did depict Ganon as a hog like beast, and these comics and cartoons were based off the original Legend of Zelda, and Captain N: was based off of Zelda 2: Adventure of Link. So while these might not be a canon source the idea of Ganon being a hog like entity had to come from somewhere, and the most possible scenario would be that of Nintendo's, infact after the shows and comics were cancelled the next time we see Ganon which is in A link to the Past and he is a hog like creature.
Now to the Ocarina of Time. This really all depends on how someone interprets the 64 bit graphics I presume. To me when Ganon is lying on the ground and you are ready to strike the final blow, it looks like he has a snout and small tusks as well, and you mentioned the hooves, and pigs do have tails (except not with spikes on them, but Ganon is a demon of sorts), and as I have mentioned before this is the only game that Ganon has horns coming from the sides of his head. Still the only real way to know what Ganon was in that game is to hope and see some official art, and maybe some will surface in the future, but you have your opinion and I have mine.

that's why what OoT ganon looked like to me is rather valid.. i had no preconceptions except perhaps that i expected a dinosaur.

It takes place in Hyrule. we know that. and Vaati in TMC is still human, not some one eyed demon that's been sealed away for centuries. also, FS Link doesn't have a talking bird hat that changes his size. It's the perfect setting for the backstory.
How do you know both are the same?
Another possibility I have thought off, is that the Trident transforms anyone who touches it to Ganon, instead of Ganon "possessing" the body of the person who touches it. The inscription says "You are the King of Darkness", and the Deku Scrubs refer to him as "the Prince of Darkess", which is almost the same.

As for the Moblins--well, I look on it this way: in the Oracle games (and maybe some others) it is said that the Pig Warriors and Moblins are often confused (because they are essentially identical as enemies). This has simply happened on a far grander scale in TWW, presumably because learning has declined with isolation and the now-prolific Pig Warriors have become identified as the Moblins that were always more well known.
Real Moblins have always been vaguely goblinoid dog-creatures. TWW's "Moblins" are not.

guess what? those pig-men were called butablins (pig-blins) as opposed to moriblins (forest-blins)Real Moblins have always been vaguely goblinoid dog-creatures. TWW's "Moblins" are not.
they're clearly members of the same family...
still, tww DOES have odd monsters which 'evolve' then evolve back later, especially what with octoroks.
