We really should have just given the Jews a nice unpopulated corner of Texas or something, so they could live in a desert like they wanted to and no one would get displaced. Granted, we'd just have to tell them they're in the Homeland and build a replica of Jerusalem and hire people to dress up like angry Arabs, but it could work...

What I was trying to get at was that we should have formed Isreal somewhere where no one would get screwed out of their home. Yes, it is the Jew's ancestral homeland, and they were screwed out of it over and over, but the cycle has to end somewhere.

Well, there was a suggestin that it be Germany instead, debt-paying, and all... which I'm all for, but I doubt it'll ever happen.

ANd the Jews believe that it will end with the coming of their messiah (while I believe that what they are actually waiting for is the Second Coming of their messiah, but that's another point). THey will stick to that land like glue until the end. They will fight us if we try to move them.

Well, actually, the religion says god will repatriate us to Israel, not people. That's why the Orthodox were opposed to it at the beginning.
