[Mystic Kitsune]

"Truly hate it?" Kitsune said quietly to himself. Looks like I'm not the only one who changed my manner of speaking.

He flicked a rock at the shadow form for the fun of it. He wasn't expecting Z to go away just like that without a formal greeting or at least an acknowledgment.

He just smiled to himself.

[Steel Samurai]

"I personally thinks it's something known in the Tor Denma as an 'Abominable Snowman'. What do you think Kitsune?" Steel decided upon an experiment to test his earlier hypothesis about the bulk of the creature being fur. He walked over to the nearby tap and attached a hose, then turned the water on full blast. The white-furred creature somehow remained unconscious as Steel drenched it with water. "Well? Is it as anorexic as I thought"

He turned back toward Steel and just watched him drench the creature. He was waiting for the water to die down so he could see how much mass the creature had without the fur.

Not that he could concentrate on it, anyway. He had too many things on his mind.

With some quick foot steps and leaps you could
see a ninja come up from behind looking at the
peculiar creature drenched in water just staring
at it his eyes got smaller and more focused on it
he said "i can feel a strange aura off this thing"
he turned and looked at steel and kitsune "My

i can take this creature with me?" "If its what I
Think it is then... so could i take it?"

"I'm sure you could...none of us own this creature anyway..."

Kitsune felt really uncomfortable. Just talking to this ninja, something he might have been looking for made his demon nature feel uncomfortable...

"...what is the reason you want this creature for?" He said, sub consciously taking a step back, whether it be fight or flight.

[Steel Samurai]

Steel spoke without turning. "Take him if you wish, but I do not think he is what you seek. You also may have some trouble attempting to break a prisoner out of this place. The jailors do not take kindly to those who would steal their prey, and trust me, these jailors are not ones you wish to cross. It could be . . . a deadly encounter. But, y'know, do what you want." Steel noticed the heat beginning to fade through one of the tiny windows. "It's getting late. Kitsune, you can stay in my room tonight. We'll get you some proper quarters tomorrow." Steel turned on his heel and strode out of the cell, stopping momentarily to remove the needle from Shadow Link's neck, then walked quickly up the stairs.

Kitsune nodded and followed Steel out of the room. The faint aura of a fox demon disappearing with him.

As they walked out, Kitsune asked "How long do you plan on staying in this place, again?" As he realized he'd be spending the night here.

[Steel Samurai]

"Probably until the end of the war. Depends on whether I get bored. We'll see." Steel said, but his actions gave an entirely different impression. He cupped his hand around his ear and pointed to the corner of the ceiling, where a tiny, bulbous metal device seemed to grow out of the stone surrounding it. He continued to the kitchen and walked back out into the courtyard into which Kitsune had originally been thrown. "The Lieutenants receive better quarters than normal soldiers." They walked into one of the towers which formed the corners of the courtyard. A winding set of stairs, with a room every 20 steps, met their eyes. Steel stepped quickly up the stairs, narrowly dodging a pale young beauty who stepped out in front of him out of her room. "My apologies Shiima." Steel bowed extravagantly and stepped around her, continuing up to the top of the stairs. A trapdoor and a ladder came from the wooden ceiling. Steel climbed nimbly up the ladder and pulled open the trapdoor, climbing into a room which was richly decorated with wall hangings and other spoils of the war. "Strangely enough, they let us keep the spoils we pillaged from those fallen. In any case, I think I shall retire for the night." Steel pointed to the tiny bulbous devices in each of the four corners of the room, and motioned Kitsune to play along.

Kitsune followed Steel's every step up to the room. Not thinking where he was going, he trusted the warrior enough to not have to think about it.

Upon arrival to the room, as Steel pointed. Kitsune looked, but still stood there in deep thought. Thinking too much for his own good.

He leaned against a wall and decided he thinks too much. He didn't want to do anything at the moment except go to sleep. And he did, against the wall he was leaning on.

Steel heard Kitsune's breathing pattern alter as he went to sleep. "Dammit." he thought. He went over to his bed and pulled from under it several caps, made from a strange material which shimmered magically. He placed one over each of the appendages, and then shook Kitsune to wake him.

He woke up rather easily.

"What is it? Something happen?" Kitsune asked.

[Steel Samurai]

Steel's aspect had changed. "We're getting out. Tonight."

[Mystic Kitsune]

Kitsune smiled "No problem. Do you have any idea where they dispose of prisoner weapons?" He asked, remembering his oh-so-beautiful sword.

[Steel Samurai]

"Below the Arena. Leave that to me. Think you can get down the wall easily enough?" Steel motioned out his spacious window. "I asked for a room with a good view. Since I'd been good, they gave it to me. Was just waiting for you to get here."

[Mystic Kitsune]

"Easily." He said, pulling out a short piece of vine that was hidden in his hair, and a glow from his hand made it extend.

"How long will you take?" He said while looking for something to tie the vine against.

[Steel Samurai]

"Give me 15 minutes. It's been awhile since I've done any stealth missions. Here." Steel pulled from his kimono a roughly drawn map. "I had Perseus make this for me. We're only taking two others." He pointed to Shiima's room and Perseus' "Wake them, but silently, if you could. Don't wait for a response, come back when they're awake. They should understand when they see you. I should be back by the time you finish." With that, Steel turned and walked over to the window, opened it, the oiled hinges moving silently, and jumped out, the only noise the flapping of his clothing.

Kitsune nodded and finished tying his vine, it reached the ground with still a lot of vine left.

He silently followed the map to Perseus's room, and simply flicked the man in his throat, which would easily wake him up. He then followed the map to Shiima's room.

Ah, the girl on the staircase earlier... he said as he saw her asleep. He shook her by the arm enough to wake her up, and turned back to head back to the room with the vine tied to the window.

[SL the Pyro]

Shadow really was awake as soon as Steel took the needle out, but made it look like he wasn't so that he wouldn't draw their attention. Silently he crept along the shadows, following Steel's and Kitsune's every move. They were walking quite a long ways, until he finally heard Steel say that they were breaking out. "Well, it's about time." Shadow thought.

He then used his shadow powers to rematerialize in the shadows outside of the room, under the window. He looked up in surirpse as the windows sprung open, but at the same time noticed something on the ground: a long field of spikes, ready to skewer anything that should come from above. They were not there before; they must've rose out of the ground when the window was opened.

Realizing that someone was jumping from the window, he had to act fast; he popped out of the shadows halfway and grabbed Steel's leg as he fell so he wouldn't get an unhleathy dose of acupuncture. "You blind idiot! You almost got more holes in you than Swiss cheese!" Shadow whispered.

[Steel Samurai]

Steel cursed under his breath. "Fool." He twisted in midair and planted his other foot against the wall, pulling the boy out of his shadow. The momentum threw them both off the wall into a flip, Shadow Link holding onto Steel's foot. Steel twisted in midair and grabbed SL's other arm. He brought his hand and the foot which SL had grabbed together with a quick motion, and a crack could be heard. The boy's arms were broken. A scream rent the air, and instantly lights blazed to light on the walltops and in the guardhouse. Steel landed lightly on the ground. Shadow Link landed beside him, another crack and scream resounding throughout the courtyard as one of his ankles gave way under him. Steel knelt beside him and whispered in his ear. "Dare to attempt to insinuate yourself in one of my plans again and you'll have far, far worse than a few broken limbs. Don't ever think I don't know exactly what I'm doing." Steel sprang away just as a spotlight opened up on Shadow Link's broken body. It could end up working for their advantage, this distraction. By the time they got the story out of the boy it would be too late.

Screams. Lights. Detection. Three of the worse things to happen during a prison break. Not like he would mind fighting everyone in the prison. That part of his demon nature he still needs to get rid of.

"Who the heck? That scream...it ruined everything. It was quite unmanly as well..." He said glancing out the courtyard window.

He closed the window as to not bring attention to the room. Seeing an open window, even if it is very minor, can arouse major suspicion.

He noticed the lights were focused on the courtyard, rather than the window facing the outside wall. But, knowing they would search there soon enough, he got ready to reel his vine in.

[SL the Pyro]

Alright, now that really hurt. A broken arm and a leg would heal faster than a normal human's would with his dark powers, but he was still going to be sore in the morning. "Sheesh... I could've left whenever I wanted to, you know... I just try to look out for you -- even after you stuck that needle in my neck -- and you break half my limbs! Ingrate..." he hissed at Steel. Then the spotlight shown on him; that was bad; he had a better tolerance of light than Z, but that didn't mean it still hurt, and the light coupled with his wounds was less than desirable for this situation. "Dammit... I've gotta get out of this light..."

He started limping over to where the spotlight couldn't shine the light on him; with his damaged legs it was difficult, but possible. Once he got back into the shadows, he melted into the darkness and fled Valhalla.

"That's enough time in the can... I've gotta get back to Uradiel." Shadow thought as he sped away.

[Ransom]

Perseus crawled along the prison roof silently, bathed in shadow. On reaching the end he stuck his head over the edge, peering into the courtyard. Luckily he was on the top of one of the larger buildings, meaning the searchlights wouldn’t be able to shine that high, as they angled downwards.

He silently waited, knowing Steel would be jumping out the window at any moment, and landing in the middle of the spike field.

Her heard gasps, and two figures came tumbling out of the building, struggling to right themselves. Steel came out on top, landing upright and using the force of their fall against the other figure, a young boy dressed in dark clothing.

Perseus partly stood up and drew his bow as the alarm bells started to sound.

This isn't what was supposed to happen.

Kitsune wasn't concerned about the lights anymore. Although he is a fox demon, he sometimes has the trait of a cat. As in, he pays attention to something that only interests him rather than what he should be paying attention to.

And what caught his eye was this shadow creature he saw disappear.

He smirked...This prison is best known to stop simple minded magic users...if it's a prison, they will take all specialties into account and stop you from escaping. Why else do I need my sword? A simple vine isn't going to ensure my safety on escaping...

He paused to think what may happen. He had heard cases of shadow like magic users to be stopped by the underground walls, moving at such high speeds they smash their skull against the magical barrier. Others have met other shadow creatures, far more fearsome, and were spared their lives, but sometimes they ran into the merciless, which then the story was different.

He shook his head and went back to watch the lights still viewing the walls on which the shadow being left.

Steel emerged from the side door of the kitchen, and watched as Shadow Link ran straight into the light barrier which surrounded the stone wall. It knocked him over. Another crack told the world that his other ankle was broken. The boy would not be able to walk for a week, even with his accelerated healing. The spotlight hit him again, and the guardsmen ran over to him and picked up his light body. Steel took his chance, and, by staying as far away from the heat of the spotlight as possible, managed to reach the door of his tower, which he quietly entered, the hinges of that door being oiled as well. He dashed up the stairs and into his room. He looked out the window and motioned to Perseus to come inside from the other side of the room. He tossed the assortment of weapons he had been carrying onto the bed. "Five minutes, max."

Kitsune couldn't help but smile at the warrior. He never failed to surprise him.

He found his blade, The Kaze Dao, with ease. The golden blade was still kept within it's sheath untouched. Well, because no one else could draw it out unless they were related to him in some way.

He fastened the sheath around his waist and directed them toward the other window.

"The escape vine is set up and waiting." He said, and before anyone could say anything, he continued "This jail doesn't deal with plant users often. They think as them as weak and no need for a special wall. They simply use arrows. So, if we are seen, we may have to be doing a lot of arrow dodging and breaking." He said, noting Perseus's wings..."Which may be trouble for some of us. Unless we can take out the archers, which would be...fun...heh." Kitsune noted that he made another hint toward violence. He really needs to get it out of his system.

"Where's the girl, Steel?" He said, noticing Shiima wasn't there.

[SL the Pyro]

"Gotta go, gotta go, gotta go, gotta go!" Shadow said, speeding away in an attempt to get away from this wretched place. He had no idea that there was a barrier, however, and as a result was shot back and his ankle broken. He let out a curse with his scream and was then picked up by the guards. "Damnit all! I WANT OUTTA HERE!" he screamed in discontent.

Then out of nowhere, another shadow appeared. It leapt out of the ground; it was Z! The bounty hunter's Spike Chain lashed out at the Valhalla guards and decimated them in the usual manner, drenching Shadow in their blood.

Shadow looked up at Z in shock. "You're helping me!? Why the sudden change of heart?"

Z picked up the battered Shadow and said, "I ran into the light barrier and was discovered myself. Also, I intend to slay you myself." He then started running at the barrier again.

Shadow raised an eyebrow. "Then why not do it now?"

Z smiled and replied, "Because I don't fight those who can't fight back. A may be a sorcerer of darkness, but I still have my honor!" He leapt up into the air, the Spike Chain wrapping into coils around his legs. "DEMONIC DRILL!" he shouted, the Spike Chain spinning like a drill into the barrier of light. It didn't even take a second for him and Shadow to get through. "Hah! Nothing like the barrier at the Taj Nar mountains. The security here is terrible..."

"Tell me about it. If it weren't for that damned samurai breaking half of my bones, I'dve been long gone." Shadow muttured. Z kept continuing, slaughtering all the guards he came across as if they were target practice, until they were safely away form the prison. "I'll be fine from here." Shadow said, thanking Z before the bounty hunter dropped him into a shadow puddle the boy created. Z took his leave as well.

[Ransom]

A shadow hung down over the window and slipped in, trying to take up as little space as possible with his wings.
He eyed the pile of weapons, looking for his own.

He walked over and picked up his long bow. It had been unstrung, making it seem like a thin quarterstaff.
He rummaged through, looking for his knives.

Ah! Here.

He picked them up, fingering them in his hands and looking them over. They had a peculiar shape, almost like an elvish weapon, with curves and engravings, but still with jagged edges and a sturdy blade.

Perseus spun them in both hands and jammed them in his belt, glad to feel their familiarity in his palms again.

He took a bundle of arrows which looked suitable for his bow, and strapped them to the back of his leg, allowing him to fly and shoot simultaneously.

He looked back over at Steel, “We'd better hurry, they're starting to search the rooms.”

[Steel Samurai]

Steel cracked his neck. "She's coming." He picked his Enchanted Dai-Katana and Dualist Blade from the pile, shoving them through his belt, and then retrieving the various articles which he kept about his person. He retied the bandages around his eyes, and slipped silently down the hall. Shiima was just coming out of her room. He took her hand without a word and led her up to his room. She took her weapons and they were ready. The noise of soldiers coming up the stairs could be heard below. "Ready?" Steel asked.

Once again, Kitsune ignored what Perseus was saying and was using his senses to see the bloodshed and the guards getting slaughtered. It couldn't have been that one shadow boy, his bones were broken as was.

It wasn't him indeed. Instead it was the other guy. The one who "prefers to settle things without fighting" was the one who was killing all the guards for escape.

He could have easily left the boy there, went down this vine, then destroyed it from the bottom, cutting off our escape root, and then escaped. Without fighting, and stopping a whole jail break on his own, that would lead to-

His thoughts were cut off by the sound of footsteps coming up the stairs.

"Perseus is right. Let's get a move on." He said while pointing them to the vine, which was still undiscovered to the guards.

[Steel Samurai]

Steel grabbed a pack hidden in a corner and put it on, then slid quietly down the vine, Shiima directly behind him. He quickly checked the surrounding shrubbery and then gave a vine a small tug.
