Wow, there are a lot of young whippersnappers about.... I remember the day when you could buy a heaping plate of liver and bacon for only tuppence and a farthing and you'd like it coz there tweren't anything else...

Seriously, my first game was ALttP and it would have been the very first LoZ game, coz I was certainly alive during that time but my first ever console was Gameboy and second was SNES.

My parents didn't really want to get me a NES, coz they thought the graphics would be bad for my eyes. They eventually got me a SNES and that's where I found my first taste of Link...

The first Zelda game I ever played was Ocarina of Time. I was buying an N64 in Toys R Us, quite a long time after OoT came out, and it came in one of the bundles - it was in fact what mostly attrected me to that bundle. The next game I found out about was MM , from seeing it advertised in shops as coming out soon, so I got that too, and my love of Zelda grew from there.

Now I think about it though, I must have read through the whole of Link's Awakening quite a bit before I'd even heard of the Zelda series - it was one of the Game boy games that got a guide in the book that came with my Super Game boy.

My first game was a Link to the Past. I only was able to get in the Dark World, but I was only 5. A few years later (after Nintendo 64 came out), my brother was able to get a hold of a Super Nintendo and I finally was able to beat Link to the Past and thus understand it more.

Then I played Ocarina of Time, but Link's Awakening is the game that drew me in.

Link to the Past. I played it for the first time in 1996 while visiting a friend of my dad. The young children there showed me their Zelda game and when I played it for the first time, it held me captive. That's when my interest in the Legend of Zelda series arose.

First one I played was A Link to the Past, but I have them all. 3 of which (LoZ, AoL, and MM) are gold carts.

First Legend of Zelda game for me is Link to the Past.

This is a little story of my first Legend of Zelda game. When I first play the original SNES version of Link to the Past, I didn't know how to save so I gave up somewhere in the begining. (Back then, I have no idea how to look up guide or internet... lol )
After I got the GBA version. I looked up on how to save in the game manual and start playing it again in the GBA version (and beat it too). :XD:

Interesting. There is a pretty even split among the NES (go old timers!), SNES and N64. No one new from the wind waker though.

Edit: Of course, I forgot to put wind waker on the list. Silly me. *lowers head in shame*

My first was ALttP on the SNES. It's still my favorite game of all time.

I think I was lucky, I started with the best... A Link to the Past, but before that I was an avid fan of the Legend of Zelda Cartoons.

the first i've played was OoT. I was pathetic at it

since then, i'm trying to get all of the other zelda games and be able to sit down one day and play them all in what I would believe to be a chronological order....

i have LoZ -Gba, getting AoL Gba, have LttP Gba, my brother in law has LA stored away, have OoT and MM on 64... and i have WW.

OOT was my first, but that's because i was didn't know that Zelda was available for the NES and I never had a SNES. I did watch the cartoon series when I was about six, though!!

My older brother got OoT and I watched him every day for the 30 minutes we were alloted for gaming (what kind of fool misses being a little kid? being a big kid is so much more fun.). When I found out that there were other Zelda games I went out and got LA with what little money I had. My brother finished OoT (with me watching the whole time) before I had finished the first dungeon. So while i put OoT it's also LA.

On an interesting note, me and link are the same age- sept of '87. we're just a few days apart.

My first Zelda game was none other than Legend of Zelda itself. However, I never really got far or really into it (since I was young, and mario was easier for me etc.) It wasnt until ALTTP that I can truley say I was a LOZ fan.

My first Zelda game is well, the first Zelda game. I had done commented on a topic much like this one at Zelda Universe, where I believe lord-of-shadow made the post and eloborated on the entire Zelda genre with a very distinguished entry. Of course my name isn't the same on this board as it was over there, and I would still be posting over there if I could remember my password (yes I know that you can have it e-mailed to you, but I have done that a thousand times, and still no response, so I gave up). lord-of-shadow though would recongize me as The Main Man, as that was my username on the Zelda Universe Forums.

I said OoT, but my first view of Zelda was ALttP. I thought Link looked like a goon or something.

I borrowed ALttP from my boyfriend, though at the time he was NOT my boyfriend. I was in seventh grade when I played it. I didn't beat it b/c I couldn't get past that part where you somehow had to jump to get to the moon pearl thing or whatever it was. Haven't played the game since, but I would like to...

My first Zelda game was Ocarina of Time. Which is why i get protective about it a lot.
And it will always have a special place inside. (I don't care if that sounds cheesy)

^ That's not cheesy, I have a special place for LOZ too ^^ I still play it regularly, just wish there was a 3rd quest cuz I race through it too fast. But I just never get sick of playing it, no matter how many times.

zelda ocarina of time was so easy once i got the hang of it. but i haveto give the best rating to majoras mask bc it is challenging and it takes time to do everything in precise order.

Aww, man. That WAS fun, you know. I loved chopping down the grass, too. I used to tell my little brother when I was playing it that I was mowing the lawn in Link's backyard. Heh heh.
