I started back in the days when there was only one Zelda game, The Legend of Zelda. OoT seems to be the first for a lot of people so it makes me wonder how many old timers like me are around.

I've been with the Legend of Zelda since the beginning, though, I haven't played FS (even though I have the ALttP/FS game; just no one to play with), OoA & OoS, LA (including the DX version) and FSA. I also missed out on the three games for the Philips CD-I but because of reviews I've read/heard over the years, I don't think I want to even play them.

I'd already had some minor exposure to The Adventure of Link at a friend's house when I was younger, but my first real Zelda experience was A Link to the Past.

I put A Link to the Past, b/c it was the first time I heard of Zelda and played it, but to be fair, OoT was my first owned Zelda game, and it was the game that really brought me into the intricacy of the series.

A Link to the Past for me. The Wand of Gamelon was my second, though I didn't own it.

For whatever reason, I didn't pick up a Zelda game til Ocarina of Time. I guess I just thought the series wouldn't be one I'd like. I gave Ocarina of Time a chance after hearing some friends talk about how great of a game it was. After playing it (several times, in fact) I got obsessed with the series and wanted a new Zelda game right then and there. Unfortunitely Majora's Mask was still a long ways off, so I picked up all of the older Zelda games and played the hell out of them.

The Legend of Zelda was the first I'd ever played. My cousins owned it and The Adventure of Link, and they thought those were the only two that ever existed. Then I got a Super NES Player's Guide (one of those crappy ones that mainly tell you things like the specs and game strategies that it doesn't take a blithering idiot to figure out), found out about A Link to the Past, and there we go.

My first was technically LA, but I didn't pay much attention to anything or finish it. In fact, I STILL haven't finished it, after six years or so. Anyway, that's why I call OoT my first. So... OoT.

First one I actually played was the original, followed by AoL (I think). Both were rentals when I was like...nine, so I don't really remember for sure. Although I distinctly remember getting really angry at AoL 'cause I really hated that rock at the beginning of the game. I also used to love when I rented a game, and there was a save file right near the end. Ah, the good old days...when I sucked at videogames...

My vote goes to LoZ, since it's the first I played.

The first one I played, beat, and comprehended was LttP, though.

Ocarina Of Time was my first Zelda experience. I think it exposed the newer generation of 3D gamers to the magic of The Legend Of Zelda. After I'd finished OoT, I hunted down all the old games and gameboy games to experience it's origin. I was happy to find that all had the same quality and feel to them. That's what impressed me the most.

I've never been a 2-D gamer, so the old titles never really stuck, but I have played them, and they are good, I just...not my skillz.

My cousin had the original two at his house, he lived just around the block from me so I knew about those ones for a long time, the first one I was ever really interested in was ALttP, I guess I'd hit the right age by that time. So yup, ALttP is my first (and still running strong as my favorite!)

The original Legend of Zelda was my first game. I played it in 88 or 89 when I was 5 or 6. Obviously it was much to hard for me, but it was so much fun. Next we decided to play Zelda II, but found that to be even harder. We eventually gave up on both games.

But when A Link to the Past came out Zelda became my favorite gaming franchise ever. Next was L.A., OoT, and so on.

Going by my first play, I've played every Zelda game in order..the only thing is I haven't beaten them in order. In fact I haven't beaten Zelda II yet. (the only one I haven't beaten..I just don't care for it too much I guess.) I'm sure I'll beat that when it comes out on GBA though. It'll hold me over until the Minish Cap. =)
