So I got my hands on a prerelease verison of Majora's Mask and theres plenty of stuff that didn't get it into the final game.

This is the most interesting thing relevant to all of the Zeldas so far.

A quote, just a simple quote that couldn't of been in the final verison due to the use of the statues.

How did you get a hold of this?

And I think the quote's just in reference to the fact that you have a permanent effect on the statues whether or not you've gone back in time.

Same way I get ahold of all my other prereleased games. Luck.

I know it's a reference to the Owl Statues being saved - but it's the fact they actually "transcend space and time" is some how related to the Kokiri Sword.

It is very clear on the Kokiri Sword being the primary reason for this relationship.

It simply begs the question, why would the Kokiri Sword be that scared to Termina (as the owl repeats it not once, but twice) and related to space and time (picori sword - in FSA it always gave the option of 'turning back time' when you didn't have enough gems. probably not though) ?

So this is just MM + extras? It isn't missing anything?

It doesn't appear to be missing anything, I think I can even fight and beat Majora. (though i'd need to get all the masks first)
It was compiled in around mid january or so, before the Japanese verison was released so there may be some beta stuff aside all these icons.

Weird. So it's a better version of MM that never saw the shop floor?

I highly doubt this is real, but I'm not gonna argue about it. The Kokiri Sword is probably sacred because it's from another world. Either that, or you could do that whole Fetter system from Wraith: Oblivion.

I could have sworn that I saw that text in my game... Anyway:

1. The Kokiri sword is only sacred because they needed some motivation as to why Link cannot activate the statues before he turns back into a Hylian.

2. The statues transcend time and space in the same way as every item Link has does.

That quote is also in the normal version. Well, the PAL one at least. There's also the quote:
"From the first time you play this
song, we shall become eternal
friends, transcending time and
place!" By Kaepora himself.

One thing: we don't know if the owl is Kaepora Gaebora. And, I remember that the text when you get the Kokiri Sword says that it's a hidden treausre from the Kokiri, so maybe it's special, or something like that.

Or maybe it's a hidden treasure from the Kokiri and nothing more. Hidden from the other Kokiri so that when it's true wielder arrives he can claim the blade as his own...or something like that. Maybe the other Kokiri don't know how to crawl. I don't know, stop staring at me!
