[Hero of Slime]

Midna's helmet does remind me of Tower of the Gods items. Perhaps Midna is a Deity.

could it be possible that Midna is some sort of Sage or Prophet of the Goddesses? Maybe created to help Link solve this unbalance in the Cosmos. The Twilight Realm can't be something the Goddesses approve of.

OR... she could just be someone born and raised in the Twilight Realm who's standing up against evil in her world from taking over another. But no, thta's way too simple an explanation for you people. <_<

I just checked the statues in the Tower of the Gods, and Midna's helmet does indeed have the same design as one of them (the three statues have slightly different 'horn' structures). If I had my digital camera here (left it at my grandmothers), I would have taken a few pictures to show, but they are indeed similar - right down to the little asymetrical bridge of the nose/center bit... can't really describe it very well.

Okay, we have weird portals that resemble markings from the tower of the Gods, the Twilight Realm looking like the underwater Hyrule, and Midna's helmet looking one of the satues from the TotG. TP is shaping up to TWW's bs. I don't like this.

But then again, if there is a connection, it would explain [img]http://forums.legendsalliance.com/public/ALOT.png[/img]. I mean the tower of the Gods looked to advanced to have been built by the Hylians between OoT and the great Flood. My guess is that it's purely Twilight Realm in Origin and whatever Midna's race is built it.

On a side note, why does Midna's helmet designed so exactly one of the statues? The statues come in three and I think I recall each one represented each of the elements of the Triforce. Or maybe not. But it's true then maybe we can use that to speculate whether or not she's Ganon, Zelda, or somehow another part of Link...

Well, I don't remember the statues having anything about them that explicitly outlined which Goddess they represented - there was just three of them. Perhaps her connection would be to Farore, though, if she is indeed connected to the Goddesses, since she is helping out Link.

Well, they probably don't go out and say it but they game really focuses [img]http://forums.legendsalliance.com/public/ALOT.png[/img] on the Triforce, so it comes in three there must be some meaning. They don't say which part of the triforce each statues respresent but they way ToTG is set up, you got a main chamber with three doors leading to each of the statue: Left, Up, and Right. Let's assume, Left is Wisdom, Up is Power, and Right is Courage. Quick! Which of these doors does the "Midna" statue come from? I tried to replay TWW but it seems I've lost my memory card... :/

Also, there's no reason why she can't be her own unique, likeable character just because she's connected somehow to the God Statues. She could still be anything...

If connected with Ganon though maybe she's like his daughter with some Twilight Creature or something?

She is in the top most room, the one connected with the top most Triforce, which is the Triforce of Power. Dun dun dun.

Secretly, I would love Link to have a talking sword in one of the games, despite the fact that it would be kind of silly - I'm a sucker for talking swords

EDIT: Well, after saying all that about how they were similar before, the similarities actually aren't all that great... I was just misremembering Midna when I had aquick look at the statues before. Here's a picture comparing the statue in question to Midna.

He's had a talking hat, why not a talking sword? That would be awesome though. "Link, I am DIN!" XD or like, watch it turn out to be Zelda's dark side or Ganon's "lost humanity" or something.

The glowing markings are all over the place in TP! I think all the creatures from the Twilight Realm have it on them. That's part of the reason I think Midna is a Twilight Realm native.

Sorry for killing the Midna/Ganon thing... but remember, we don't know anything really, so they could still be connected, but in a different way

I should have grabbed a picture of the other two statues as well, for comparisons sake... the 'horns' are different on the three different statues.

I still hang to the theory that Midna is the Princess/Queen of the Twilight Realm and that Ganon has ursurped her and enslaved her minions/people. And that while she's helping Link out, convieniently 'forgets' to let him know about this. That's my guess, anyway. Part of me doesn't want Link to be sorted out as a clueless chump, though.

I'm hoping Midna is snarky, like Tatl.

What if she's really evil, gets Link to free Ganon/kill Ganon for her and then betrays him and it ends that way!

DUN DUN DUN! No seriously, that would be cool! I was expecting King Daphnes to betray Link and Zelda after they take down Ganon (due to a webcomic) and they'd have to take him down. That would've been so badass. Then he can give his speech as he spitting out blood "Make a new world" and such.
