What is the function of the Ice Arrows in OoT? What is the advantage of having them? How are the Ice Arrows better than regular arrows or Fire Arrows?

They freeze things? You don't need them, per se. But it's nice to get every item.

As Showsni said, they're not really needed. Now im not sure about this but I think if you kill enemies with ice arrows, you have of higher chance of getting rupees.

And theyre just there to complete the Light/Fire/Ice. Some people just like Ice better then fire I guess.

Doesn't the LTTP trick carry over to OoT, where if you freeze an enemy and smack them with the hammer they give up magic refills?

I thought of that and tried it, but hitting a frozen enemy in OoT with a hammer is no different than hitting a regular enemy.

I don't think the Ice arrows have any specific use in oot but in mm they make little ice platforms on the water.
