So, the beginning hypothetically *should* explain about how the Twilight Realm relates to OoT's ending?
I'm thinking It'll prolly be like Back to the Future.... haha
What do you guys think?
And I saw the E3 trailer. Notice how Midna looks like Shiek? Hmmm.....

I personally hope this doesn't tell too much about OoT's ending, though, but the flood of WW. You know, a couple hundred years after OoT, when Ganon gets his goose loose? Just before the flood, last days of Hyrule? You know, this is the depressing middle in the 3D trilogy, in a sense.

Kind of like kid LttP link turned into a bunny.
Yep, I bet that you have to go back and forth between hyrule and twilight in the same sense as LttP.
Until you get pwned of course. Link's pwnage ultimately sets the stage for Wind Waker.

I'm betting the Twilight Realm is the two timelines bleeding together and starting to neutralize each other like matter and anti-matter.

That would be really cool if the reason the Twilight 'killed' people was because some people just don't exist in the alternate timeline, or something like that. So when they merge, people randomly cease to exist.
Still doesn't explain why Link transforms, but I like the theory.
Personally I'm thinking while it isn't THE Dark World, the Twilight Realm is a direct result of it. Like...hmm...Imagine if the Dark world were a can of black paint, and the Light world a can of white paint, and the black started dripping into the white, making this kind of amalgamous gray out of the white paint.
The gray = Twilight Realm. Something like that. The Dark World's 'leaked' influence results in the Light world turning into the Twilight Realm.

Ah, but they've already explained that the transformation is due to some latent power of Link's rather than the Twilight Realm directly.
It could just be me, but I was under the impression that it was the other way around. I thought that his transformation left powers with him in the "normal" world.
I could also swear that I heard somewhere that everyone changes into *something*. This would echo Link to the Past quite heavily.

TP is a cross between Lord of the Rings and the Matrix. Oh, it'll all be very fantasy-like and then suddenly, Link's given a choice between a red pill and a blue pill and it all goes downhill from then on. He'll find himself in Neo Hyrule and have to fight against the Machines and confront the Architect.

Link: ... *Does OoT surprise/shock animation*
Ganondorf: Well you see, the best thing about being me, is that there are so many me’s. *Ganondorf pulls Four Sword* DUN DUN DUN!

Aonuma latter said that Link transforms because he is the Hero, and that everyone else dies when they enter the TR.

Aonuma latter said that Link transforms because he is the Hero, and that everyone else dies when they enter the TR.
Actually, I think all he ever said was that nobody else transformed, and it was implied that anyone else just died. They never said WHY Link was different - I'm guessing that's something major plot-wise.

The reason link doesn't die whenever he enters the twilight, is because he's link and there would be no game without it.

CN: What exactly is the Twilight Realm? Is it the same world in a distorted form?
EA: Well, when you see the “Twilight” in the game, Hyrule is
covered by darkness – a world where humans can’t survive in the same
way. That’s why Link turns into a wolf [when entering the twilight
realm]. I’m not saying that anyone who enters the twilight realm will
turn into some kind of monster, but Link has a gift that lets him
become a wolf. As you play the game, you’ll discover clues about Link
and why this is happening to him, and how he can return to his normal
self.
CN: So we can say that the only person who transforms [in the twilight realm] is Link?
EA: That is correct. Link is the only being who can transform in
the twilight realm. There are other animals in the twilight, but these
already belonged there even before the twilight arrived. In fact, Link
can communicate and interact with these animals – something that
couldn’t be done in his original form.
Although he has also said:
It may be that Zelda does transform into an animal... but it may not be [laughs].
