Some people have been asking on and off whither the Dentavi RPG is ever going to be revived. From the looks of it, we can not continue Dentavi as it is--we will have to start it over. This partly because some of the members involved in it are not very active anymore.
Before even thinking about starting it over, we need more people.
If anyone is willing to commit, please post here. I know Shethryl is interested, and possibly Phoenix Reborn & Goose. Like I said, If your interested, post here so we can discuss it.

Here's the outline of the RP, touched up a little bit.
Era: Similar to Medieval Europe / Warring states Japan.
Location: The continent of Dentavi
Genre: Fantasy, Adventure/Action
Source: Original
On a plane of existence different from our own, or perhaps it’s merely an alternate form of our universe, there exists the continent of Dentavi. There are two separate culture areas of Dentavi: Eporue and Nohin.
Eporue is on the western side of the continent, with Nohin in the east.
Eporue is divided into countries, each under the rule of a Grand Lord. Each Grand Lord has knights under his command. The weapon of choice is usually the broadsword. Men usually wear tunics with a matching pair of pants, women have tendency to wear dresses or skirts. Not many people can afford swords or axes, so usually people will use something like a quarterstaff, knife or sickle. Usually, some weapons might be concealed. If someone carries a sword out into public it is assumed that they should not be bothered.
Nohin’s equivalents of countries are states. Each state is under rule of a Shogun, and each Shogun has samurai. The weapon of choice is usually a katana. Most people wear kimonos, and some others wear fighting gi. Weapons are more common in Nohin, since monsters are more common there. Usually, when a walking the streets of a Nohin town, anyone who can wield a weapon will usually have it open to the eye of the public.
In between the two areas, is ‘neutral’ territory. No one is quite sure where the border ends or begins, but everyone knows it exist. The neutral territory is made up of a blend of the two culture groups. Monsters are especially common here, since there is less civilization.
Of all the monsters in Dentavi, demons are feared the most. A monster is classified as something evil, while a demon is considered not just evil, but unholy. The technical definition of a demon is "Anything with an unholy soul".
There is an old tale that says that once, the Eporue and Nohin regions were the same. However one day, a ruler on the eastern side of the continent, Lord Corland, declared that everyone should prepare themselves for a great and terrible war. This ruler said he had a vision, and in this vision, he saw the entire continent in ruins, monsters wandering desert-like plains. The other eastern lords noticed that more monsters had begun to appear and joined forces with Corland. The lords in the west laughed, saying it was just a coincidence that monsters were appearing, and that Corland was having nightmares.
The eastern lords now denied of their pride, declared that they were seceding themselves from the other half of the continent, and would no longer have anything to with the western lords.
No one knows exactly how long, perhaps a 1,000 years or even 5,000 years, the people of the east held that statement to heart. Eventually, the east changed almost completely to what it became. After awhile, either side forgot the other existed, and no one knew what was beyond the forbidden boarder.
It wasn’t until 147 years ago when out of some cosmic coincidence, a young boy from Eporue and a young girl from Nohin found their way into the overgrown area soon to be known a neutral territory. These two found each other, and it was love at first sight.
This was troubling for both regions, but eventually they accepted the love of the two. However, before the peace was made between the two regions, many things happened. The common people were uneasy knowing that another place existed on the other side of the forbidden border. Leaders who had access to the old tales of Dentavi began to realize why the regions split. The young boy, Denwood was the son of a very important grand lord. Coincidentally, the girl, Sakura was the daughter of a very important shogun. When the two realized that their love could start a war between the two regions, they knew had to do stop something to prevent the bloodshed. Selflessly, the two joined hands and said this as one:
"If this world cannot except our love, then perhaps the next one will!"
The leaders of both regions knew what this meant—the love-struck boy and girl would rather take their lives than have the fighting go between he two regions, for the two would be torn apart. An uneasy truce was formed between Nohin and Eporue. Eventually, this tight truce became looser, and looser. And thus, a new age was ushered in—the Wanderer’s Era. It was title given because in this new age, someone could wander over the entire continent, and not be stopped by the boarder known as neutral territory. The two sides maintained their culture, but began trading and helping one another. It was truly an age of prosperity.
It is now the 145th year of the Wanderer’s Era. Over the past few months, a group of people from the neutral territory has been attacking and pillaging both Nohin and Eporue towns and villages.
This group does not have a revealed name, and no one knows why exactly it has been doing what it’s been doing. But one thing is for certain; they are a threat to both Nohin and Eporue, and must be stopped. Representatives from both areas decided to meet in neutral territory, far from the confirmed location where the rogue group was centered. This decision to work together to fight this powerful force was decided when two Shoguns and two Grand Lords had been killed.
After gathering large amounts of resources from both regions and much discussion the representatives came up with an idea. The representatives offered 100,000,000 pounds of gold to whoever could eliminate the mysterious group. Many people have tried to infiltrate the area where the group is, but have never been heard from again. The few survivors from the attacks have said they have seen a man on horseback with a holy sword leading the attacks. The representatives also want to who he is, deciding that he might be the leader of this group, or at least someone’s right-hand man.
Because of all the deaths, people began to realize that even that much gold wasn’t worth the extreme possibility of being killed. The place where the representatives had gathered was now in close proximity to other villages that had been demolished. Many of the Shoguns and Grand Lords had left. The rest that stayed behind, desperate, tacked on more rewards; land, serfs, anything to have more people come and fight. Samurai and knights now daily ask for anyone who can help to meet with the Shoguns and Grand Lords in the town square.
There are also those who want to fight because they have lost relatives or friends to the rogue group. Some also want to fight to prove something to their selves. Some just wish to fight because it’s something convenient to do.

Very, very interesting. I do think my character would fit in more, rather, with the "Demon" category...

When everyone else is okay with it, I will post the new thread that will be used for the RPG. Like I've said, this will be a re-start. If you want to rebuild any relationships that existed in the previous version, feel free if it is possible.
One of the problems with Dentavi (as has been pointed out to me previously) is that it became too objective based too early in the story. Therefore, the plot of the bandits is going to be likely held back a little to allow for some time to allow the characters to meet eachother. Another problem which can be the bane of an RPG would be attention and commitment. Dentavi went on for awhile with only a few role-players, but there are things that would need to be handled. Checking the thread as often as possible for chances to respond is also recommended. Nothing kills a RP faster than long periods of people not responding.
In any case, like I said, the RP will restart away from the main conflict for awhile to allow the chracters to meet and interact. I would recommend looking at the old RP, but someone seems to have seen it fit to edit some of the text in it.

Yeah, seems so. I suppose we'll just have to wait. I'm just hopeful that the roleplay really will start soon...
