After Tarin gets lost in the forest while picking mushrooms in Link's Awakening, what mischevious animal does he turn into in order to hinder Link's progress?

I'd argue that he turns into a tanuki, since I've never heard anything about raccoons being mischevious, while tanuki are known for being scheming and misleading in Japanese folklore.

Well, I guess technically a tanuki, but since the English translation is raccoon dog and the term tanuki probably isn't extrememly well known the first answer works well enough. Kairu Hakubi, the next question is all yours.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Just for your knowledge, seeing as you don't know what a Tanuki is and I do, here is a description. They are an animal similiar to raccoons (although they are more closely related to foxes). They're native to Asia. Statues of these Tanuki are often found outside shops in Japan, depicted carrying bottles of sake and, in what would seem like a crude display of typical Japanese humour, enormous testicles. These testicles (colloquially known as kintama - literally "golden balls") are believed to be a symbol of good luck.

Ironic, seeing as the raccoon/Tanuki in LA was anything but lucky for Link.

Uhh, Wolf O Donnel that was really gross and obscene.
If I were a mod you'd be banned.

Just kidding, I realize you had to explain all that (as vulgar
as it was).

:P

Oookeey, what did Link and Marin use to get
the walrus out of their way near Animal Village in Link's
Awakening? :P

Marin sung to him. But in future give the person whose turn it really is time to ask a question.

Who was Queen Ambi's lover in Oracle of Ages?

Player 1: ???/???
Player 2: ???/???
