People need to learn to accept the Great Sea will never be drained, using the games we know of now. The destruction of Ancient Hyrule was Anouma claiming Zelda as his own forcing you to accept a New Hyrule and possibly a Hyrule made up of connected Great Sea Isles. If one is immediately north of the other then LoZ/AoL makes sense.

Speculation: Will the reconnection have anything to do with Ancient Hyrule? I say no, but who knows.

just because characters plan to do something doesn't mean it will happen.. i think link planned to revive old hyrule.. but that didn't turn out.. ... at least that was MY plan..

Link didn't even know about old Hyrule for half the game, all he was concerned with was restoring the Master Sword, ToC, and saving Zelda. When was his plan ever to revive old Hyrule?

But there are no hints what so ever, in TWW, that lets us know if Ancient Hyrule will even be a part of the new land...or even unsubmerged. True what people say may not always happen, but at least people hinted at the islands reconnecting and finding new land...but no hint of old Hyrule being in the new world equation.

Keep in mind Ganon said he'll come back and kill the sages descendants...he did that! Which is part of the reason the world was flooded. So when a character says they'll do something...it should never be disregarded.

Especially since it's really the creators who are communicating to the gamers through the characters.

Quit calling people atheists!  Not that it's bad, but you can't be an atheist in regard to the Zelda universe because they tell you that the Goddesses exist in this particular fictional world, so therefore they do exist.
We could also speculate that the Goddesses made a large plug at the bottom of Hyrule that became dislodged somehow.  We could speculate that Valoo sat for thousands of years and evaporated the sea with his breath and blew the vapors over Labrynna or whatever.  Speculation is pointless.  :soldier:

Well, but this is very different, it's logical for Ganon to make a wish, since we are sure that he's wished on the Triforce at least one time.

Until the king made his wish, there was a protective seal over Hyrule keeping all the people alive and in stasis.. so if G-dorf had made his wish successfully, Hyrule would have been revived. This was most likely the goddesses' intention from the beginning.. but the King messed that up pretty badly (or did he?) and broke the seal, letting the country get.. well.. at best, wet; at worst, destroyed.

Hehehe...facade kind of made me laugh, in a "I'm really covering for rage" kind of way.

You shouldn't be calling people athiest as if its an insult. Religious orientations can't be used as insulting, since people choose them because it is whats personal to them. If you called me an athiest intended as an insult, I'd say "You're damn right I'm athiest."

But, all that religious stuff aside, its a fictional game facade. No real god or goddess flooded anything anywhere. Look at the game in the scope of fiction, for cryin' out loud.

And Ganon is not overused. He is Links opposite. He is the Captain Hook to Links Peter Pan (which is essentially who they are). Link is the boy, clad in green, who never seems to grow up in these games. He is childhood innocence. Ganon is the father figure (note how he is the only male borne unto the Gerudos, and is in essence the father of all future generations) and he is all about destroying Link, and claiming his piece of the pie...er...Tri...force.

not to mention that without ganon, link wouldnt have been needed on almost any of his quests..
