Come on, Vet. You don't know about sweet potatoes? We've got sweet potatoes here too, y'know, although they're not that common in supermarkets.

But sweet potatoes and marshmallow? That's just wrong.

Then again, there's a Chinese dessert which involves sweet potato and some kind of dough boiled in water until the water itself is thick and filled with the taste and goodness of sweet potatoes (I hate it). But not marshmallows.

You Americans will eat anything.

Hmm, y'know, I've only eaten a sweet potato once. And I threw up four or so hours later. God, they're horrible! It's like the love-child of a potato and a giant jar of sugar, somehow made orange.

That's why I said I meant swede instead of turnip. It's the texture you get when you mash them that's similar. And the colours aren't that far off either... And they're both icky.

Come on. Why does everyone out of the US hate sweet potatoes? My mum makes killer sweet potatoes even without marshmallows. She adds some brown sugar and butter and they become something unearthily good.

I used to LOVE sweet potatoes. Then my mother told me this story about finding half of a worm in one once. I couldn't eat them for yeeeeeears after that. Perhaps it's time to give them a try again.

Of course, I once ate chocolate chip cookies with mashed potatoes, so I can't say much..

One: Putting ice cream on top of ice cream is the most insane thing I've heard of in a while, and NO, we don't do it.
Two: I'm not sure what kind of custard you're even talking about, as we don't use the term often here. I'm not sure what you mean by a 'roast dinner', either. XD Whatever the case, I don't think it's something we eat. :P

I had sweet potatoes for the first time this Thanksgiving. I'm with Vet. Gross.

And come on. Some strange things are good. Macaroni and cheese with ketchup all over it. Awesome stuff.

And scrambled eggs with loads of cheese.

I'm not sure whether I've ever had a meal where everything in it has been roast...but it certainly looks interesting. o.o

Mmm...eggs with cheese. Of course that's great. Or fresh veggies dipped in chocolate pudding. XP

Not everything is roasted, only the meat, potatoes and sometimes a vegetable (Not sure about the Yorkshire puddings, I think they're baked or fried). The other vegetables and potatoes are boiled.

Yorkshire puddings are baked, really. The meat, potatoes and sometimes parsnips are roasted.

Custard's delicious, but I wouldn't have it on a roast dinner. I don;t normally have it on desserts - I'll have the dessert, then a bowl of custard seperately. Same with gravy, but my parents don't generally let me eat it seperately, so I usually just don't have any.

One of the oddest instructions I've read in a play is in "A Man for all Seasons" in which Sir Thomas More "Breaks off a piece of custard and eats it." Huh?

You can get solid custard, like what's in a custard tart or slice.

Didja know if you filled a swimming pool with normal runny custard you'd be able to walk on it?

Are you going to turn the gym into a skating park, too? XP

Buy an old high school? Bah. Shooting all the people in the school and then threatening anyway that comes inside is a lot more fulfilling.
