Now I realise that the Code Cracker is way too hard for some people. You certainly need to take some time on it before you can crack the code, more time than a person is willing to take when on the 'Net.

So I'm creating a Hangman game to replace it.

The word contains

########### - (11 letters)

So how many guesses are allowed per word?

How many guesses per word? Well, hm... that's a tough one. Hm... okay, I've just drawn the usual hanged man diagram and have found that it takes eleven pencil strokes to draw.

So you have eleven guesses per word.

Word: R----------

Wrong Letters:
S

I will guess N.

And since this will be replacing Code Cracker, I guess I will that thread to save you the trouble of others still trying to play it.

I'm sorry, I was wrong. I redrew the Hanged Man diagram, after I realised I had forgotten one of the support beams. You actually have 12 guesses per word and not 11, as I stated previously.

But since O is not in the word, that means you now have 10 wrong guesses left. Guess wrongly 10 more times and the man is hanged and I get to set the next word again.

Word: R---A--M-NT

Wrong Letters:
S O
(If you guess wrongly 10 more times, you lose)

See? Now that's an obvious choice, because E is the most commonly used letter in the English language. I mean, just look at this paragraph. There are 18 of them.

Word: RE--A-EMENT

Wrong Letters:
S O
(If you guess wrongly 10 more times, you lose)

If you wanna be the one to set the next word, Rhiannon, you've gotta be quick.

And once again, Ace beats Rhiannon. This is interesting.

So, Ace, decide on your word. I guess if we really want to make it more difficult or easier, we could decide on a famous phrase. Just don't forget it takes 12 wrong guesses to draw a Hangman, so if we collectively guess wrongly 12 times, you get to choose the next word.

O!

This word must have at least some vowels in it, unless it's not an English word. Hm, maybe that's a rule I should have made. You must only use English words... *shrugs* Oh well.
