I'm a bit confused over the part of getting the Biggorn Sword that has to do with waiting for Zora's Domain to melt in Oot .I know I have to wait six days before itmelts, but is there a spcecific way or place to go about it? Also, does it matter if I defeat Temples while I wait?

You've been had my friend. Zora's Domain never melts. You'll find a Biggoron's Sword Guide here though.

Just play the sun's song six times. Three days pass, and your sword is ready. Has nothing to do with Zora's domain whatsoever.

That'd be a fun hack, rig a 64 rom so that zora's domain returns to it's original layout, but still without the zroas inside. It wouldn't be that hard to do, just reassociate the terrain once you have gotten past X point in the game ( X presumably being the water temple).

How would Biggoron know anyway? you can't see inside Zora's domain, even from right beside it, so it's not like he can just peer down the mountain... :)

I finished that quest, too.
You can't use teleportation music for doing that. Not nice...

I happen to know an interesting tid-bit; the Biggoron's sword is possible to get before you even start the Forest Temple. Trust me, it's possible; I've done it before, and it really helped. I'll post how I did it once I can find a walkthrough. (I didn't use one to do the game, stop that!) I find it especially useful against Dark Link in the Water Temple.

It's my favorite sword. I prefer to dodge attacks rather than block them, and sice the Biggoron's sword can't be used wit hthe sheild anyway, I don't mind at all. I just wish you could use it to deliver the finishing blow to Ganon (second form, not the first; it works on the first). You can still damage Ganon in the second phase of the battle (where you get the Master Sword back), but to both take the Evil King down and tear up his face, you must use the Master Sword for cutscene purposes. Honestly, that makes no sense to me...

I found the Biggy most useful for Iron Knuckle and Stalfos fights, because those usually could take a while, sometimes it got boring just going in circle with them forever. Also, I used it a lot during the fights with Ganondorf and Ganon, considering that they were both lengthy battles, and the combat was the same thing over and over, I just wanted to get them over with eventually.

You're thinking too small. I used the Biggoron's Sword against every enemy I could; it dispatches them really fast.

Well, I suppose that's all well and good if you enjoy making your enemies suffer.
I'll alternate between both swords and strategies depending on how stressed/angry/depressed I am when I play. :P

One important thing to remember about the Biggoron Sword is that, even though it deflects Ganondorf's attacks, it will not deflect the attacks of Phantom Ganon. I really had problems with this one.

You mean the part where you shoot Ganondorf's balls of light back at him, right? If that's the case, then it wouldn't work with the Master Sword against Ganon, either. There are no attacks to send back at the pig-like fiend.

If you mean shielding, then that's just stupid. You can't block any of Ganondorf's/Ganon's attacks.

Yes, I do mean that part; I have no idea what your second and third sentences are supposed to say; and the shield does block Ganondorf's reflectable attacks, it just doesn't reflect them.

Elaborate on that.

I didn't know that the shield blocked it... meh. Whatever. I never block those attacks anyway; I send them back relentlessly.

I don't know what this is saying or why it's saying it.

Oh, and, the Biggoron Sword rocks, and the shield is too darn powerful. The too-powerful thing also goes for the parry attack in the Wind Waker.

Its 1-player. Of course you'll get better power-ups than in multiplayer games. Although there are SOME exceptions...

Well... actually I like the Master Sword more than the Biggoron Sword. It's because it is THE Master Sword and I like how Link looks holding a shield while wielding the Master Sword. He just doesn't look so cool when he is just weilding a sword with his two hands. I also think that the Biggy looks unnatural because it's too big, it's as if it wasn't made for humans.

There's only so much fun you can have with it before it becomes boring again. Besides, the combat in OoT was already simple, the Biggy just made things even easier.

Having the Biggoron Sword made the combat faster, but not necessarily easier. The shield made Link virtually invincible, and losing that can bring in a whole new type of challenge.

If the enemies were more aggressive, maybe. But as it stands, outside of only a couple, you could maul them very easily with the Master Sword, the Biggy just whupped them.

Having a big weapon is cool, but only for so long, eventually it's repetitive, especially with the Biggy that brought next to nothing new to the combat. And when you go into the difficulty factor, it just removed it from the game completely.

Thats a complicating subject. I have a lot of theories about this, but this is not the right place. Let me just say that there is probably even more to the Master Sword, then of what has been shown in the games, you see there might have been a reason for the Master Sword to shine as it did before the final blow and that power was the one that you probably had to regain in WW, among many other stuff to consider.

Also while not completely tied, boath the ending sequences from OOT and WW might have some kind of link betwen them. I just think there is just more to the Master Sword in regards of being a key, then what we know. I have a feeling that using the Master Sword for the final blow, was necessary to the storyline.

One important thing to remember about the Biggoron Sword is that, even though it deflects Ganondorf's attacks, it will not deflect the attacks of Phantom Ganon. I really had problems with this one.

If you consider that Ganondorf at that time might had some influences from the Triforce power, not as big as tranforming itself into Ganon tho. But still, if this fell into place, then the game would be flawed in that regard, because the Master Sword should have been the only item that could have reflected Ganondorfs power. Then again when you look at it even a bottle was enough to reflect his powers :P.

Alardonin, why don't you open a thread about this in the Storyline Forum? We really need something new there...

What do you guys think about the Great Fairy's Sword? Is it bigger than the Biggy? Which is stronger? I have no idea!
