Simple question

When doing timelines do you ever include the Legend of Zelda Valiant Comics?

They might be very crappy comics (I havent gotten a chance to read them yet) but I am gonna read up on them and see if I cant include them in a timeline theory im working on...

and I dont care if it isnt worth it either...
LOZ--AOL--VAL (Valiant, if your the slow processor)

Depends. Were they made by NoA or NCL?

They were published by Valiant in 1990. Part of "Nintendo Comics System."

They're not really canon, I suppose... But they're very interesting. They come immediately after AoL, but Ganon is alive and has the triforce of power.

They're not canon. Especially since both Link and Ganon are alive after AOL. Plothole. ZOMG. Not to mention they totally fuck up what we know about the Triforce.

Well, in the comics+cartoons (I'll lump them together because they're pretty similar), the ToW isn't owned by Zelda - she just keeps it in trust for the kingdom. And if anyone gains the ToP without the ToW, it turns them into an evil pig monster like Ganon. And they can talk individually, and give advice. In one comic, the ToC leaves Link and enters Zeldas heart, because Link has become evil. They're similar to the first two CDi games as well, but here Impa guards the ToW. And Link lends the ToC to the king, which is a little odd...

They offer some interesting explanations for things, though. Such as the country Link in LoZ/AoL comes from - Calatia. And his parents, Arn and Medilia. None of it is canon, but in the absence of any other info, we may as well use it.

Not to mention that instead of being golden equalateral triangles, they're stubby, multicolored pyramids with stupid little runes on them.

Ehh, that runes thing is just a small detail. But I like the parents story. At least it is something. And I can understand why they would do such things with the story. The lore of Zelda didnt come until LTTP.

Actually, it didnt fuck it up at all. Zelda doesnt have to possess the Triforce of Wisdom, nor does Link or Ganon need to possess their Triforces. *unless they have them at the end of AOL...I'm still on the process of beating AOL btw...It's my favorite Zelda game.*

at the end of AOL, Link has all three peices, but I can imagine him giving Wisdom back to the Princess and such.
