Hello,

I'm new to the forums, and right now I'm playing Zelda: The Wind Waker. I need to get to the Dragonroost cavern on Dragonroost Island, but I have to get past the lava. I have already destoyed one of the two statues, but I cannot get the bombs to reach the farthest one, and detroy the statue by getting the bombs into the pot it's holding. I have tried a varitety of walk-throughs, but they make it sound so simple and don't give any explanation. Any help would be be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

You mean those two statues that you have to explode so they faceplant into the lava so you can jump across? It's all about aim. You're either standing too close, too far away, or not angling your throw correctly. Just dink around with positions and angles and such.

After many tries, I finally knocked down both statues and got across the lava safely. I didn't realize I could simply walk straight ahead, without jumping, to get onto the first fallen statue, while holding the bomb to aim. I thought I was stuck because my jump button would have thrown the bomb and I figured I would die if I just walked straight ahead. But it worked, and now I'm into Dragon Roost Cavern! Thank you joeymartin64 for your prompt response!

There's no such thing as a jump button. O.o'' Jumping is automatic.

That's probably why he had problems; thinking he had to use the A button to jump while holding a bomb flower makes said button throw. The question is how one gets to that point in the game without noticing the automatic jumping...

He, I remember that when I first played Ocarina of Time I always pressed the A button to jump over the gaps. That was because I was 8 years old and I didn't know a lot of English, so couldn't understand the manual completely.
