Suspension for two days for making incredibly rude, incredibly intolerable comments in Zelda Storyline. You editted your post, the SOLE reason why your punishment is so limited, but it simply shouldn't have been said in the first place. And yes, I got the opportunity to read from a third party EXACTLY what you said about another individual who you were replying to.

I'm also leaving this as a warning that myself, and all other admins, ARE SICK AND TIRED OF TRYING TO CLEAN UP AFTER STORYLINERS WHO THINK THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH IT.

*cough* That is all.

Hey, just let me back in...I thought about what I said before anyone reported it. I knew it was wrong, that's why I changed it.

As fun as you may think it is to try getting DJ to side with you and take away your punishment, that's the thing about us admins. We travel in packs, and tend to trust the decisions of one another under most circumstances. Frankly, we were picked as admins because those who preceeded us found us trustworthy enough to be given this power. :)

Now, first off- you made some rather mean comments to one of your fellow LAers, and willingly posted them. I commend you for editting your post, BUT the comments were there long enough for other members to see, and they DID see them. If you had not editted them, you'd likely have been banned. As it is, this is an example that such behaviour is NOT tolerated. If anyone has a problem with the behaviour of their fellow members- if you ever see someone saying things that are rude and intolerable, you do NOT give a worse response. You tell a mod or an admin about it, so that they can pass judgement before matters get worse.

Your second mistake was in questioning my judgement, and trying to get another admin to change this judgement. Whatever pity I had for you beforehand for getting yourself stuck in this situation- you have LOST that pity with amazing stealth.

I wasn't getting anyones side. I was reaching out to you too Chakira. You're right I had no business doing that. But look at my track record, I'm not a bad member. I learned my lesson. I apologize for disrespecting a certain member and the authority of these forums.

It doesn't matter if you don't have a record or not, and it is a good thing that you're apologizing, but that's still not the point. If you steal from the candy jar and are caught, then put the candy back, your fingerprints are still on it and the deed was still done.

Not only did you manage to contort syllables in Chik's name to sound like a name of African descent, that first statement is an utter lie. What other reasons and incentives do you have to invite DJ AND Chik to participate in small talk? It's the equivalent of getting arrested and at the same time trying to tell a cop that you too enjoy Seinfeld.

It's two days. Take your punishment like an adult - and learn from it.

Oh yeah.

Deal with your punishment, Tri-Enforcer. It's only a couple of days, you can live without LA for that long... Hell, we had more downtime the last time we got hacked, but we all lived didn't we?

Fizzy, that's been said three times over by two Admins and a Supermod, and you're notadding anything new to the situation.

Keep your nose kindly out of this if you can somehow manage it.

Hey now, we're still allowed to ask questions right? If so, what the heck is going on in Storyline? I asked to be locked out because I had an inkling that something bad was going to happen. But I didn't think someone was going to be suspended, in fact almost close to being banned! I know it's none of my business now that I've dissociated myself with that forum but if my feelings are right, it's not going to end with Tri being suspended. There's just something utterly wrong in that forum. I don't know what it is. I thought it was me but I guess I was wrong as I hear that things did not get better after I left. So I doubt things are going to get better while Tri is gone too. I don't think it's just one person but an overall feeling of animosity silently building up between the members and if that's not nipped in the bud altogether there's just going to be more sudden outbursts going on. And they can only get worst if you treat it as individual problems.

Everyone's just having an ego trip, especially if something is stated that's different from the common opinion. What's going on in storyline is really nothing new it's been like this even when I joined up over a year ago. People were really getting on my case then because I was a splitter. That eventually led to me being banned, literally, but I returned thanks to a little help. However the forums were hacked upon my return...hmmm...no surprise I was a suspect...but I digress. The Zelda storyline has so many flaws that it's almost in vain to debate about it...and I think that notion is rubbing off on people. I shall do as the mods tell me and just lay back. If you all don't mind, I enjoy a little small talk...it's not that often that I speak to the mods.

I think it has turned into a free run for all because of the lack of administerial presence. As far as I'm aware at least >.>

I dunno, was Vet trying to keep and eye on things in there?

Vet's on vacation right now, l-o-s keeps his eye on several forums besides LA from what I can tell, and Dav...who knows what happened to Dav.

This isn't the first suspension in the last couple months involving the Zelda section, either. And THAT is what's upsetting me the most- that the people who are acting out aren't quitting, and the people who ARE giving up are regular members who just can't stand to be in the middle of all the obnoxiousness and fighting.

People are needed to control the masses. Without authorised figureheads, they begin to take authority on themselves, thus we have bickering, arguing, and fighting in there and no one is there to keep them anyone in line at all, unless an admin pops his or her head in to have a look.

Hey, i was wondering, since this has to do with the topic, when someone gets banned, are they only banned from that one section, or are they banned from the whole LA forum?

Unless they are full-on BANNED, in which case I don't think they can even see Member Notices, I dunno.

Lazurukeel, were you the one that ratted me out? (I'm not complaining by the way) I just want whoever it was to know that I disciplined myself before I was placed here. I realized what I wrote was harsh, and was not appropriate. I also did not want to divert attention from the topic I was on with such language, so I edited the post to be considerate of others who wanted to contribute.

When you're suspended you can only see Member Notices. When you're banned you can't see anything of LA. Well...you can see the main page, but that requires signing out or clearing of cookies or whatever, and you'll get busted badly if you DO try to reregister after a full ban (or if you make a second account for any reason on LA unless you forgot the password or username of your first...although we admins can always change the data for you to get back into your account or change it in any way, including your name, password, email address, etc).

And..the identity of who told me the situation was happening will be kept secret so long as they want it to be. I was not informed of your behaviour specifically, Tri-Enforcer- just that there was a fight in the Zelda Storyline forum, and I made my way to that Timeline thread on my own.

No, Laz did not rat you out.

Also, I don't think Fyxe is entirely innocent either. Personally I think she is hard to get along with. I've seen her bully the other members only she gets away with it because "technically" she never breaks the rules and I know a bunch of storyliners who'd back me up on this.

Yes, the Zelda forums need a mod. To put people like Fyxe in their proper place. If not, you'll continue to have more members taking matters in their own hands. And things will not be prettyl

You already have one member suspened and another banned once and then later voluntarily locked out the Zelda boards because of her. Not to cast the blame off of Tri. He is just as guilty as I was. But don't you think she may have been the one who added the fuel to the fire to begin with what with her bossing her peers around?

How Fyxe does or doesn't behave doesn't really matter right now, especially in public quarters. If we mods/admins have a problem with a member, we usually try to keep it to PM or the mod section, for privacy reasons....and frankly, although she may have behaved rudely there, she still didn't have a complete outburst. Anyone who totally flips out will be punished. Anyone who stays within the laws of LA...generally is spared unless they go overboard on giving little doses of trouble (as with Zythe).

That may be, but this isn't the place to point fingers at anyone in particular. Trust me, we might've gone a bit without noticing, but at this point we know a fair bit more then ya'll might think we do. This debacle blows and has a lot of participants, and pointing fingers is not going to do any good. Not right now anyway.

EDIT: Damn you Chik, getting to it before me. -shakes fist- :arcee:
