ok, wierd.....i was replaying WW just for fun, and i was sailing of of the little island you get to own (the private oasis) and i just sailed. and sailed. and sailed....and sailed. AND SAILED!!! @_@ i just kept sailing. and sailing....i left my controler there and just kept sailing for (i timed it) 1 hour and 22 min!!! i couldn't get back to the oasis, or any island. I just kept sailing in a constant void. has anyone encountered this unusual event, and if they have, can you tell me how to get out of this evil glichy void? and no, my sail wasn't down, WAS moving, so i am just lost in a void (the games on pause as i type this...) S.O.S.!! :deadlink: :deadlink: :deadlink:

Huh? I thought if you reach the border of the sea the boat automaticaly jumps back the opposite way... Try using the ballad of gales and warping back in...

well, it's not exactly by the edge, i looked on my map, and it says i'm right next to the island, so no turn-thingy. i don't have the ballad of gales yet...waaaaaaa! the island isn't even mine yet.

The only problem I've ever had with my Gamecube is a recurring disc-read error while playing Wind Waker that seems to happen randomly, but most often when I'm entering the Nintendo Gallery. No other games have ever created an error, and this disc-read thing is completely unlike your "Oasis Triangle" void.

Clearly what you discovered was the Hyrulian equivalent of the Bermuda Triangle. :P

I've never had something that crazy happen in my game, though. Sounds kind of fun/freaky.

One weird glitch I've seen is that I could've sworn one of my Fairies healed Ganon instead of me. Or maybe he had his own fairy. I wasn't paying attention at the time... All I know is that there was a fairy swirling around Ganon as it would Link and Link's grandma and then it disappared. That battle took longer so I guess he did heal himself.

One time I got stuck behind the plant in the cafe in Windfall. XD Garsh, I get used to get the same exact error in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle radomly, but it seemed to have stopped now. I think it has something to do with the disk, like if it's scratched or has dirt on it. I also remember it happening once in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour and whenever my Gamecube accidently falls off the shelf in the entertainment center where I keep it.

In Ocarina of Time (on gamecube), when Ganon hit me, i slid and hit the fire...the thing is, i kept sliding back and forth until my hearts ran out...

Isn't it fun to totally make stuff up. >.>

Mario Jr., what you saw was not a Fairy healing Ganon. Sometimes when Ganon breaks bits of the arena with his blades, Fairies appear. You must of mistook one of them fluttering about for a Fairy healing him. Fair enough mistake but I know enough about game design to know that a Fairy healing Ganon is totally impossible.

Similarly, pots, boots(??) and Octoroks will never appear while fishing.

Perhaps he means in TWW? You can sometimes trawl up rubbish with the grappling hook, right?

I think I got an old pot once, I've definitely found junk items, but I can't remember exactly what. So, for once you're finally wrong about something Fyxe. And it's perfectly plausible that a person, while treasure drudging, could wander into a zone with a Big Octo. The first one I found sure caught me by surprise.

enchantedtoast, if I remember right, the last time I played Wind Waker the load error seemed to have stopped for me, too -- I hope so. I feel like playing it again, but I fear the load bug.

garsh, I'm not wrong, he said 'fishing' so I assumed he was talking about Ocarina of Time. What you do in WW isn't fishing.

I know Fyxe, I originally was going to comment on that myself. "Fishing" was a misleading term, the whole thread is about Wind Waker, though. I would have made the same mistake if the context were a little different.

In retrospect, though, I suppose you would now agree that junk items can be dredged up, and Big Octos can take one by surprise, yes?
