What about Dodongo's Cavern being mentioned in Majora's Mask? Surely people form Termina had at least a slight contact with Hyrule or knew about its exitence.

Two bloody posts, and you just made it three. Hardly anything to whine about.

Sorry, was responding to MPS.

Dondongo's Cavern was mentioned? Don't remember that.

SPAM is good for if done in moderation. It keeps things from getting too serious and keeps us grounded in reality, which is we're discussing video games not the moral complexities of abortion or cloning.

SPAM is also good fried.

I also don't remember anything about a Dodongo's Cavern in MM. I really wish people will quote sources before saying uncommon knowlege like that.

If I recall correctly, the Dodongo's Cavern of which you speak is the place near the entrance to Snowfall where you can bomb the floor and find a grotto. Inside is a bunch of Dodongos. Unless the Gorons are referring to Dodongo's Cavern? If that's the case, it's likely they'd have their own.

Yeah, there's nothing to stop there being another Dodongo Cavern somewhere in Termina.

Either that, or rocks from Dodongo's Cavern sometimes find their way through the portal between worlds via sneaky tradesmen like the Mask Salesman (...Rock Salesman?) and thus the Gorons would easily consider them a rare delicacy.

That place is never called "Dodongo's Cavern".

The mention of Dodongo's Cavern in MM was only an allusion to OoT.

Termina probably just has it's own Dodongo's Cavern like Fyxe said. Maybe it's that nameless grotto, who knows. Not really important.

My guess is Termina does have its own Dodongo's Cavern. I mean, they DO have Dodongos by the mountains. But that's not really important at all.

Yes, I was referring to that one.

Now, all attemps to un-spam this thread have failed, but maybe it's fine as long as this doesn't happen with all the threads, I need to relax, I have been under a lot of stress and I'm on holiday. <_<

I think it would be good to stop doing this, it has been already a lot of spam and Veteran has already suspended some people for spamming. I have no authority, though, it's just an advice to you telling what I think that is correct to do.

"With their magic infused blood, the Hylian people were endowed with psychic powers and skill in wizardry. It was also said that their long pointed ears enabled them to hear special messages form the gods, so they were held in high esteem by many people in Hyrule. Their descendents settled in various parts of the world and passed on their knowledge and magical lore to all people. But in its passing, the lore was often distorted or lost altogether..."

That's the one.

Here are my thoughts on all this stuff:

1)FSA comes right before the IW. It just seems so right.

2)Termina and Hyrule are closer related than many people think. I bet Terminians can go to Hyrule and Hylians can go to Termina. I mean, who built the Forest Temple? The Kokiri? The Hylians probably know something about the Lost Woods, just not about the Kokiri. Either that or the Terminians built it. But anyway, I just think Termina is sorta another land. Maybe that tunnel in the Lost Woods is just the only way to get there and after walking a long way through the tunnel one would find themselves in Termina.

I think that the ancient Hylians probably built the Forest Temple, but I doubt that they ever made it into Termina. I think that the only reason that Link was able to travel to Termina was because some higher power sent him there to save it.

But anyway, I just think Termina is sorta another land.

Do you mean to say that they are on the same plane, and that the wierd tunnel is just a normal tunnel?

It says specifically in the manual that it's another dimension.

1) I'm down with the whole FSA>IW thing. It's what I have in my theory

2) No, the Sages built the original Hylian Temples, obviously. All the temples are sanctuaries for a specific Sage, which implies each Sage created their own temple. The Terminians? They're not involved at all. The Temples were built by the Sages and united to act as a complex, elaborate seal on the Sacred Realm.

3) Termina is an alternate dimension. It's fact. The tunnel Link traveled through is an allusion to Alice in Wonderland, just like the entire MM game.

I don't know what to think. That's not exactly what I meant but I guess everyone has enough evidence that says Termina is an alternate dimension so I'll go with that.

The manual calls it a "kind of alternate dimension".
Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but that amibiguity in how they define it makes it sound, to me at least, like it may not neccessarily be an alternate dimension in the clasic sense.
Naturally, without any evidence to support anything specific, I won't go into any fan-ficcy spooging.

Actually, it says 'a kind of parallel world'.

It's slightly ambigious but not TOO ambigious. I think it's basically saying it is a parellel world (and thus a sort of 'alternate dimension') but it's clearly not completely parellel because there are a series of differences between Termina and Hyrule.

So, well, you're right, it's not an alternate dimension in the classic sense. It's a different world that, as the manual says, is similar yet different to Hyrule.

Nothing more than that, we don't need to think about it too much. 'Tis magic.

Yeah, that's what I mean. It's an alternate land in a magical sense, NOT a sci-fi sense.
