sorry i just posted, but i also just started alttp on gba (4swords/alttp) and i was wondering if you can block? it seems pointless to have a sheild and not be able to block attacks, but i cant seem to figure out how to..

In those older Zeldas the shield is only used to block projectiles (arrows, stones, lasers, fireballs) stronger shields block stronger attacks. There's nothing you have to do, as long as you're facing the projectile and have the right shield level, you're protected.
