Admins have been Insta-Baning Advertisers with no question for YEARS now, back before every single last one of us besides Khuff was even an Admin. Why the hell do you feel the desire to bring it up now?

1. IF he was going to make other posts, he would have. There was plenty of time for that between registration and banning.Yeah, I can understand. But how do you know he came solely to advertise? He could advertise in his first post, then get into discussions with his second, third, etc. I just don't see how if the first post is an advertisement, then that means he's here solely to advertise.
2. Doesn't matter. It means they came here and showed blatant disregard for the rules. Whether or not they intended to continue posting, that merits a full ban.

Section 9 is as follows:
Do not spam. Spamming will result in warnings, and movement or deletion of posts or threads if appropriate. Repeated offenses will result in suspension and banning. Spamming can be defined, but is not limited to, the following:
a. Non-sequiturs and other off-topic posts
b. One-word posts or posts containing nothing but emoticons.
c. Posting new threads outside of the appropriate forum.
d. Advertisements for personal websites, forums, or businesses.
e. Sending meaningless discussion through Personal Messages.
f. Any post in which the meaning is not readily apparent.
g. Posts made with the purpose of increasing one's Post Count.
What applies to this is that we do not want people coming on here specifically to advertise their own businesses, forums, or whatever- if they post on LA, it'd better be for LA. We don't want them bringing to LA what will not help anyone, and just clog up the place. You're allowed to put advertisements in your sig, but not make threads or PMs about it.

You need to read the Rules, Clayvman.

What's the use for g.? Every post increseases one's post count, then, every post is spam. As long as the post doesn't violate points from a. to f. we can't really know the poster's intentions. As long as all the posts made by an user respect the first six points we can't blame him or her for posting unless the user himslef/ herself states that his/ her intentions where to increase his/ her post count.
So, if posts can't be done with the purpose of increasing the post count, why is it one? Doesn't it invite people to break the rules?

'Woo, posting this to get to 1,000 posts, biatch!' even if it has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Or 'I don't know why I'm posting this, but I want a higher post count'. It happens, at it's annoying. So it's against the rules.
