I think I've found a clue to building the third house:
The guy who rents out the houses is walking were the two cats are that you need to get past for the power bracelets. He says that he will build a house there if he can get rid of the cats.
This may be a false lead so don't blame me if it is, but there are hardly ever any false leads in Zelda so... I don't know

Well it is. Nintendo put it there so someone would waste hours on it. Remember the Running Man? Also, your poll is personal and hence, irrelevant.

The Minish Cap. It was put in as a joke. TSA speculated it had to do with the fact that the Oracles were originally three games but they found making a third impossible.
