Usually, it's accepted that Ganondorf was sealed in the Sacred Realm/Dark World at the end of OOT. However, some of the translations posted on this forum suggest that OOT was mistranslated to say that Ganondorf was sealed in the Sacred Realm/Dark World while the Japanese says he was sealed somewhere else. In particular, the translations make seem that in the Japanese version, when you first wake up as an adult, Rauru says that, "(Once you defeat all the Temple bosses) The Sages' Seal will close all of the evil power up in the beyond..." rather than, "In the void of the Realm", that in the ending Rauru says, "Open the sealed door now and entomb the evil incarnation of darkness beyond the realm of the dead!!" rather than "in the void of the Evil Realm", and that after Ganondorf is sealed, Zelda says that, "Thanks to your power, Ganondorf has been sealed in the world of darkness." rather than "inside the Evil Realm." The translations also make it seem that all the references to sealing Ganondorf in the Sacred Realm were added by Dan Owsen and that the Japanese version just talks about sealing Ganondorf without saying where he would be sealed.
I'm wondering, could we have been wrong all these years about Ganondorf getting sealed in the Sacred Realm at the end of OOT? Is if possible that he was actually sealed in the realm that Demise came from in the SS intro or in some other realm?
