Think back to that fated day when you signed up for LA. You start posting. You mingle among the existing regulars. Were you intimidated? Did you bond with someone right away? How accurate were your first impressions of other LA members?

I joined: 2003

My very first impressions as a newb:

  • Veteran: The admin who frequently hovered over LA and tended to regular duties, but mostly popped in to make smartass comments -- like a sarcastic floating forum angel.

  • Jasi: Jasi was lowkey intimidating because it felt like she was already in a clique with DP and a few others and ew she was from Kakariko. I was scared to try and talk to her because they were all doin' their own thing. She was like the popular upperclassman.

  • Rova: She was also part of that Kakariko set, but she was always super excited about everything aaaaa!! :D :D :D

  • DJ: The solid rock of LA. The ever-Squall. DJ yelled at me for resurrecting an old thread in the mod forum on the first day I became a mod. I wasn't scared. I figured he was just the cranky grandpa mod. Like Red from That 70's Show.

  • JRP: Jerp's signature trademark was always his fancy avatar artwork. To me, he was a rank and file member of Hall of Heroes, so he was THE ENEMY, but he was like the cool enemy you feel bad about fighting.

  • Synile the Thread Slayer: O he of many names. Synile was, without any doubt, the most over-active member of LoD and posted ALL THE TIME and it was IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP UP but we all tried so hard. I thought he was a nice enough crazy guy who needed to cut way back on the energy drinks.

  • Green Goblin: GG was always super excited about fire and explosions and chaos, and he really seemed to like that I was a fellow pyromaniac, so I figured we'd get along pretty good.

  • Devil Paladin: Deep was supposedly a legendary RPG dude so I really wanted to write with him. But I never really got the chance because he decided he had to go to college. Pssh. Also, I took his mod job in LoD, and I was always worried he didn't like me because of it. I'm so sorry.

  • Pook: Pook was DP's grumpy music-obsessed friend.

  • Jinn: He essentially adopted me within the first couple weeks of me getting into LoD, and he always tried to throw me off with his weird sense of humor. A silly trickster with a good heart.

  • Laz: Jinn's BFF life partner who was also a silly trickster, but he also seemed to think he was a sly ladies man. He asked me if I liked S&M within the first couple months of me being in LoD.

  • SteveT and Masa: They are LA-married.

  • Delphi: The chill Oregon crew member who was easy to get along with. But it was impossible to search for her on LA because all her letters were special characters.

  • Lesta: Camel

  • Chik: She was in a position of power and knew a lot of people in charge, so I naturally thought it was my fated duty to overthrow her and take her place.

  • Toan Avinai (Fish): Came here with a swarm of other Georgia people, but he was the most notable because he had a good sense of humor, always posted funny things, and made terrible horrible typos in chats.

  • Rhiannon: You're from British Columbia OH BOY CAN WE BE FRIENDS, YOU'RE SO CLOSE TO ME. Also she stood up for me when someone called me ugly.

My impressions of new people as a grouchy senior:

  • Kissy: what is this pink thing and why did they let it on here ugggggh she's so happy

  • Leo: LOOK AT THIS 12 YEAR OLD TRY TO BE COOL

  • Turtlebro: Initially hard to distinguish between him and all the other corn-dudes, he soon made his mark as the guy who stuck around the most and posted about nerdy stuff I could actually relate to. I seriously got all the corn-dudes mixed up for a while.

  • wisp: yes one of us, one of us. She was also a rarity, because she was one of only like.... five girls in LoD.

  • mow: It's like having another Synile but half the time I don't know what he's talking about

  • Feanen: Lord of the Rings NEEEEERD but pretty cool and friendly so it's all good

And then generally overwhelmed by how many people from Kansas and Indiana showed up.

That's it for now, 'cause I gotta go make dinner, but I can add more later. Post yours!

  • DJ: The solid rock of LA. The ever-Squall. DJ yelled at me for resurrecting an old thread in the mod forum on the first day I became a mod. I wasn't scared. I figured he was just the cranky grandpa mod. Like Red from That 70's Show.

About the only first impression I remember if actually of you, Selena :P

I had missed part of the rules about making a post before making a topic, so I pm'ed you, you pointed it out, and I was super embarrassed and it was awful.

  • JRP: Jerp's signature trademark was always his fancy avatar artwork. To me, he was a rank and file member of Hall of Heroes, so he was THE ENEMY, but he was like the cool enemy you feel bad about fighting.

Dear diary, today someone said I was cool. It's a new feeling...

But on a semi-serious note, I'm not entirely sure I had first impressions for a lot of people. I was sorta reserved for the first couple of years on LA, sticking to the Zelda section pretty heavily and I didn't really gauge lots of people too often. It wasn't until I stuck around here long enough that I really got a feel for the terrain here. So first impressions are going to be mixed with good memories too. Chronological order of first impressions:

THE YEAR IS 2003....

davogones: You brought me here when I was looking into Zelda for the first time. You were the smartest person in the world as far as I could tell.

Veteran: I can't remember the avatar you had back in the day. The constant admin, had an Andy Griffith vibe of keeping the peace. Praise the Book! Didn't really get to know him better until we started the LA Pokémon league and his ice team destroyed me.

Lord-of-Shadow: Shadowy mod of the Zelda section. The first person on the internet to scold me for talking out of my ass on the internet, smacked me off the head with some good sense. I didn't get to know you very well but your articles on the Legend of Zelda were good reads. Helped nurture a love for Link's Awakening that I still have to this day.

x-year-old-from-georgia: Another LA staple, even in this age of decline. We had co-ordinating avatars, Deku Link while I was Zora Link for a little bit. Can't recall who was Goron Link. Miss ya, bud.

Flint: We shared dorms, we only ever spoke to each other in the confines of those sections. He seemed like he'd be too cool to talk to me. But I was 14 so I'm pretty sure that was the case for most people I met.

Jaina: Her fault, constantly. Liked Rurouni Kenshin.

DarkJuno: Dude, it's not Legends Alliance without you. The ever Squall indeed. You're posts were some of the longest I'd seen but they were the first long writings I'd force myself to read from start to finish that would hone my patience for reading much longer things like books and essays. Stoic, steadfast. I wish I knew you better.

Chikara Nadir and Selena: The cool kids, there was always some tension there but in a good way? Should I talk to them? Can I talk to them? Well eventually I did and hey, they're pretty approachable and cool!  You guys always had that kind of weird wonder-twins thing going on, the LA Chronicles kinda helped solidify this notion. Watching you both rise to the lofty heights of adminship has been an interesting developments but you've both done well in your positions.

Pook: Music-buff, Lemon avatar. Not much else, I never got to know him very well.

Korhend: The Orc-Master, rough around the edges. We talked about Mussolini a little bit, told me why he admired the Italian dictator in his early days leading Italy. Always at Jericho's throat. Still never got to know him very well.

Green Goblin: The Green Goblin avatar, in a number of ways screamed you were into spider-man. I didn't play Yu-Gi-Oh! a lot at home or locally, but I did play it with GG on AIM. I remember him giving me deck advice, helping me make a stronger deck. There was a winning move he did on me where he used Ring of Destruction on a 2200 ATK monster and totally decimated me when I finally felt like I had gotten a small advantage.

Toan: Seemed cool and pretty funny! Introduced me to YTMND, which is it's own story in itself. One of the few LA members I'd talk to somewhat regularly. The advent of social media helped kinda keep up that habit. Very happy for you when you became an admin, I remember coming back from a hiatus and seeing that made me feel like I'd been gone too long. Recently got to see where you live so it looks like we did something right with this whole internet friendship.

Fëanen/ Eric the Wise: Yeah boy, I remember your name from the before times. I think. I might be thinking of someone else. Your avatar was the pixel Ganon from the Oracles games, at least on InuKensha's board we modded for a little while. Seems smart, knew what he was talking about.

Rova: Seemed like she was friends with Selena, must be cool.

Lesta: Mom of the Desert of Mystery, Camels for life. We didn't speak much.

SteveT: The Suit of Armor avatar is burned into my memory. First person I knew who published his own book(s), knowing someone could publish their own stuff helped me bridge that gap from all the way back then. We definitely shared a couple dorms together, HoH and DoM.

Ninja Kitten: She was cool, we didn't talk to much but I got a good vibe from her.

Steel Samurai: You had Ichigo Kurosaki as your avatar, big into Bleach frequently. I remember reading the last chapter of the manga recently, talk about a crazy ride. He posted, he was from Australia but we both started getting into LA Chronicles together and he and I would work out how plots would go down and it was super fun to bounce stuff off of him. He got more involved in his college stuff so he'd post less but I'd eventually help him out with some graphic design stuff during those years for his films. I was surprised to learn that he is younger than I am.

Fin: The very first Irish person I've ever spoken to! This was super cool for me! Had a good sense of humor.

Mystic Kitsune: Various avatars, many of them good. Still a mystery even to this day. We spoke about the Aquabats! and that means we can totally be friends. Definitely brought life to the forums whenever ever they'd come around.

wisp: Matsumoto avatar, solid Bleach vibe. Very agreeable, particular about your w's. You joined later than me (I think) but it didn't take long for you to make your own place here on LA.

Synile: Red Eyes Kyo was definitely your avatar at some point. You belonged in LoD, that shit was your jam. Another LA member that I learned more about during LA Chronicles. We'd coordinate stories as well as talk shop on Gundam models and anime. We'll always have Makoto Shinkai. Still need to watch Turn-A-Gundam. My constant source of knowledge for all things JRPG, I'm happy that life has been better for you recently.

Laz: Australian Music wizard, avatars always held an air of mystery, seemed pretty chill. One of the reasons I think I would of had fun in the LoD if I ended up joining that dorm. Talking to you during my college years helped me open up to other LA members.

Deep: I knew of him from the early days but then he reappeared on LA and we talked a bit. It was the weird feeling where it was like he was a walking piece of LA's history of the before times that had just appeared. It was an odd nostalgia to see him pop up again. He looked over some of my writing which was pretty swell of him. Pretty cool guy, became less walking nostalgia and more his own brand of contemporary.

Leo Crimson: He likes dwarfs, I thought no one liked dwarfs. Who is this kid? Now he's Frank? I thought his name is Leo? And he's Asian and from Canada? He also did some RPing as well, nice to have an active player. I remember we were about a day apart last Christmas from meeting up in person at Universal Studios. I'm afraid it wasn't meant to be, sweet Frank.

Kissy: Oh my, someone left the popcorn machine on too long and threw all the cotton candy inside. Likes the Zac Efron, reminds me how old I am and how mortality is fleeting. Such is life. Much like Frank, it's been fun to see you grow here on the forum.

Turtlelot: You know games dude, Darth Vader avatar pretty much speaks for itself. Another LA Chronicles writer, we'd coordinate stories in the later years of the section. Looking forward to finishing up TDTWD.

Jinn: Mysterious, always up to something. I know more about this one from his exploits with other members, kind of a living legend.

I feel like I'm missing folks here but I was always an odd duck who was social but at the same time not? I don't know, the internet is weird.

Being the socially awkward individual that I am, I didn't venture outside of the Zelda Legends sections much after first joining, and when I finally did, I decided to browse the archives and read years old threads before actually interacting with anyone on a normal level. So my first impressions might be a little skewed, if I can even remember them at all.

Leo: The former new kid on the block before I joined. I always felt we had a weird rivalry of sorts when Calatia first opened. Was the first person I ever RPed with, and became the person I RPed the most with, with an assortment of characters. Ended up becoming a great friend and someone who I would PM and chat with from time to time. I always had this silly mental image of our Chronicles characters being the 80's buddy cops of Calatia.

Fin: Joined around the same time that I did. Always seemed like a pretty cool person to me, I ended up being right.

Showsni: The really smart British guy. He was also really good at Pokmeon and Robot Unicorn Attack, I think he still has the community high score, if I recall correctly.

JRP: The cool guy who ran all a lot of the events. I was always confused early on why you weren't an admin, since you hosted the big Tournament every year.

DarkJuno: Lena and JR covered this one pretty well, especially the Red bit. I always enjoyed reading your lengthy posts in Chronicles, I was always personally admired your writing skills. Also Transformers.

Masa: I think I joined around the time of the running joke that Masa was a girl. It confused me at first as to why everyone always pointed it out, but I eventually realized the gag. Or maybe this was in the Archives, I really don't remember anymore.

SteveT: Masa's eternal partner in crime. No matter what avatar you use, I will always think of that suit of armor.

Rhiannon: Always really friendly and nice. I recall her and Leo asking for people to join their Chronicles thread in Calatia, which eventually piqued my interest enough to join up.

wisp: Very particular about her w's, and made awesome sprite maps for the dorms. I think she helped me with a writing assignment once when I was still a newbie.

Selena: The quick witted and snarky admin. I remember being pretty intimidated by you when I first started going out into LA and the dorms. She also always said what I was thinking in most contro threads, but said it far more eloquently than I could. Another person I PMed and chatted with from time to time, and ended up helping me through a pretty rough time once. I still really appreciate it. Also I always saw you as my unofficial rival in Chronicles, ever since the Witch and the Sword thread.

Chik: Lena's eternal rival/partner in crime/incestuous lover/a lot of other things. The other really popular admin when I joined. I remember your spam thread to reach 10,000 posts was pretty epic. Ikiosho and I still talk about it from time to time.

Veteran: Pokemon master and fellow Lego collector. Vet was the really quirky admin who always made things interesting. Also the book of Vet, I see it quoted all the time but have been able to ever actually find the damn thing.

Khuffie: Secretly Vet. Also an apple.

Fish: A goldfish inside a beer mug. Much like SteveT, that avatar will always be what I think of.

Goose: The peacekeeper of Contro and genuinely funny guy.

Stalfos: Had a great since of humor, though disappeared shortly after I joined.

Egann: The person who kept Contro interesting and last more than 1 page.

Arunma: Liked boobs

Rova: Lena's stalker of sorts. Also liked boobs, and birds, specifically budgies. Very skilled artist.

Synile: The founder of Calatia's rage thread if I'm not mistaken.

Green Goblin: Pyromaniac. I can relate to that. One of other pokemon masters on LA.

Kitsune: Always had a way of livening things up when they would kick down the door. PMed me randomly and talked about equally random things, but it was always a good time.

Deep: You were a returning old member. We never really talked much at first, but Ikiosho always got along with you pretty well. We all ended up meeting up after we realized you lived in the same city. So far the only LAer I've met in person, excluding people who followed me to LA.

Laz: Very mysterious, though always had a good sense of humor. A regular for Tinychat nights.

Jinn: Secretly Mr. Bunny

Kissy/Ikiosho/Tsume/Jezzer/Rexan/various others: IRL friends and family who I managed to wrangle, or just followed me, into joining this place. Though now it seems I'm the only one left, but I think Kissy and Ikiosho still lurk/still check the Facebook group.

It was my retaliation to the whole family tree thing that I found absolutely deplorable. Most of the admins/dorm mods were the parents, so I just blanket declared myself the Masamommy over everyone. I can't believe anyone thought I was a girl, though. That's fantastic.

also praise the pamphlet.

I still think of myself as new, though I guess it has been six+ years, and I'm definitely too peripheral, and I don't post enough, and I don't make friends easily outside of meatspace.

But I remember when I came on board in 2010, the dynamics were pretty well-established and it was difficult but also interesting to approach making a niche in a new group. I mostly failed to do that, but there are some really cool people on here and it's a good place to go and see that those people exist in the world.

But if anybody's interested in an outsider's perspective, these were my immediate impressions when I was getting started here, before I got to know anybody and before I asked wisp about the stuff I didn't understand (of which there was a lot):

Selena: sharp, quick, intimidating, but clearly also wise and kind. Taunts my wife about ring pops.

Fish: direct and no-nonsense, solves things quickly and without fuss, warm and good-natured.

Chik: everyone seems to think this person is a hobbit. Leader of the other 'dorm,' whatever those are.

Veteran: I understand nothing this person posts. Evidently they are English, but I don't think that's related.

Laz: I understand nothing this person posts. Evidently they are Australian, but I don't think that's related.

Synile: geeze, look at that post count. I'll be enthused if I ever write that many words.

JRP: I understand very little of what this person posts. Oh, cool, poems!

Jasi: I got off on the wrong foot here in a thread or two being unnecessarily vehement for posturing reasons, which was silly of me because this person is clearly cool and interesting and does high-level work in the same field as me.

Rova: awesome artist, heard about her previously from wisp. Sharp-tongued and frequently hilarious. Friendly though.

Steel Samurai: super nice, welcomed me to the forum and friend-requested me.

Egann: a goddamn unicorn: a respectful and intelligent debate opponent! Arguing here is so much better than arguing on facebook!

Fin: best wordcount-to-value ratio on the board.

Kisseena: hey, another new person WHOA IT'S A REAL LIFE PINKY PIE. Awesome, I like happy people.

Dizzy: another welcoming person. Enthusiastic. Faint whiff of drama.

deep: this person is clearly more aware of what's going on in the recorded music world than I am. I should pay attention.

SteveT: yo, a writer! wisp has his books, they must be good. He's certainly funny.

Turtlelot: best name.

Khuffie: I see people talk about this person a lot, but I don't think they exist.

Jinn: I understand nothing this person posts. I don't get the impression I'm supposed to, though. I wonder if this might be a fake account run by one or more admins.

DJ: cool dude, quiet but intelligent and thinks through his posts. Likes transformers.

Anyone who thinks I'm intelligent or wise clearly missed that episode where I swallowed a teaspoon of pure ground ginger in the hope that it would help my upset stomach. My taste buds still burn to this day (but the stomach ache did go away, so).

I don't remember my first impressions of everyone, either. :deadlink: But I remember quite a few:

Veteran: All I have ever felt with regard to vet is "Please notice me, Senpai!"

Khuffie: "Wow, this guy really likes Natalie Portman. And boobies."

Jasi: Agree with Lena. Jasi was friends with DP, and they were like the cool kids and that was intimidating.

Rova: I've always, always had this memory of my first encounter with Rova, but I suspect that my memory may have somehow smushed two different things together. I remember going into the Life forum to rant about my boyfriend dumping me or something, and I said something like "men suck!" and I've always remembered Rova coming in to fuss at me for making a blanket statement about men, but the more I think about it, the more I actually think that was someone else and that it happened on Mystic Void.  :O.o: Rova, do you remember if this happened or not? XD

DJ: I think I saw DJ around Mystic Void before I came to LA. He seemed mysterious and somewhat intimidating. Yes, basically just like Squall. :P Famous (in my mind) for his Transformers collection and the way he would give LA history lessons about "The Incident -low rumble of thunder-."

JRP: I knew JRP as that guy with the anime hair, and then as the guy who did the Grand Tournament every year.

Synile: I remember him being Demon Eyes Kyo when I joined LoD, I think? And then he had several other names I've lost track of. Probably never had as many names as Link2395825247/Marth/Roy/Serra/Eliwood/Master Shake/Vanilla Spice/Samus/etc., though. I somehow didn't notice Synile's thread-killing spam until a bit later. XD

Devil Paladin: He was the cool, sarcastic kid who knew all the cool bands, AND I took his mod job in the Labyrinth of Doom, so I was kinda scared of him. (Lena, did we really both take his mod job? lmao) It all pretty much still holds true. XD

Pook: He was friends with DP, but he wasn't as scary as the others. He introduced me to several good bands.

Jinn: ......... strange and potentially dangerous (he burned down the Temple of Veteran, after all!) XD

SteveT and Masa: The OTHER sarcastic cool kids outside of DP's group.

Lesta: "But it's Quatre, not Katra... o_0 "

Chik: Crazy, but friendly and amusing! Once documented the consumption of a Yard O' Beef.

Lena: That lemon who always bickers with Chik. Clearly has plans for world domination.

Toan: I think Toan's avatar was that dancing pickle when I joined? He was funny and very friendly. In the good way, not the creepy way. Our honorary Loddie, if I remember correctly?

Kissy: Pinkie Pie. I still think of Kissy as Pinkie Pie; I know she says she's Fluttershy, but I just can't see past Pinkie. Sometimes I also think of her as Mabel. XD

Leo: "Oh shit, there's a kid here for the first time in... a while. Wait, do we have to watch our language now?"

Turtlelot: Part of the semi-overwhelming midwest horde that came here. He was the funny one!

mow: Another Loddie. Friendly and pretty cool but often confusing.

Flint: Seemed to be part of Toan's crowd, except he was scary! (Yes, I thought pretty much everyone was scary.)

Alakhriveion (Did I spell that right?) and Korhend: Intimidating Contro denizens. Alak seemed to be the scarier of the two. Somehow he was a Loddie but hated the Labyrinth (how is this even possible) and wanted to be in Chamber of Sages instead, I think? And Korhend was a self-proclaimed fascist?

Mystic Kitsune: They posted a LOT. Like, maybe more than even Synile and chef combined.

chef: The first (and maybe only?) person I ever saw who got into a dorm within their first 24 hours of joining. @_@ Obviously the dorm was that wonderful spam haven, LoD.

Egann: The first majorly opposing viewpoint in Contro since the olden days. Kinda turned the forum upside down! XD

Sigh.... thinking about the Labyrinth reminded me of the absurd number of stickies we had in there at all times. Also, I always liked everyone else's sprite maps better than mine! XD

(We never finished the holy quest for boobies, did we? I sure don't remember ever getting my damn ring pop from that platypus!)

UGHHHHH THAT DANCING PICKLE.

I was pretty sure I took DP's mod slot when he went off to college, but the memories are hazy. I remember we all used to have two dorm mods, then we somehow bumped it up to three mods each -- I have a half-memory that you were LoD's expansion pack? Or was it...... was I modded to cover for Chik, who was there half-time due to her going to university? But she moved home after a semester or two and they just decided to keep me there?

I swear somebody went to college.

I also remember the quest for mass stickies now that you mention it. I think LoD had three pages deep of pinned threads that day.

I was guessing maybe he disappeared around the time you became a mod and then he showed up again later and got re-modded? When I joined he was the third LoD mod along with you and Chik, and I was modded because he'd left (again?).

OMG I actually forgot about that REALLY ridiculous quest for mass stickies. I was just thinking about how it seemed like our baseline number of stickies was pretty much always 5 or more. XD

XD

Oh my god I hope not. I will die of embarrassment if I "not ALL men!"-ed you.

But yeah, I can barely remember what happened last week, let alone what I thought of you dorks 15 years ago :P

I wonder what happened to Flint, I seem to remember he and I were always cool. Hope he's doing ok.

Yeah, like knowing you NOW it doesn't seem like something you'd jump on someone about. It's kind of weird to think that my mind may have glued two different memories together, and it's even weirder that it would finally unglue them 12 years later! :P

I say this in the utmost seriousness - you were literally all intimidating over the first two weeks when I joined and started browsing the forums. Especially DJ, he ruled Zelda Storyline with an iron fist and didn't take anyone's shit. :scared:

But yeah, it was so long ago and I was 14 at the time so it is tough to remember first impressions. I think Jerp was probably the first person I felt comfortable talking to cause he helped me get started with RPing and Chronicles here; also the Lost Woods members/Kansans because somehow they all ended up in it when I first got placed there which really got me involved with the community. For everyone else I think I started making friends through LW, Chronicles, or FB when that group first started up.

Lena I don't know half of what I am talking about.  I really do not remember my first impressions of everyone.  I just remember doing my best to get to the amount of post needed for a dorm, got LoD, loved it, and then starting blowing the place up.

'Cept I've never had anything to do with storyline - I assume it was something in RPG, or you revived an old thread in Gaming. :P

Anyway, I don't think I've ever actually had negative impressions of anyone around here - if there were, those people aren't around anymore, mostly by their own hand. At worst, I may have been wallowing in so much of my own negativity or whatever funk I was at the time to either snap or not care about anyone, and honestly, my big regret is that I leaned way too far into the crotchety old member role then I really should have. Hell, I'm almost entirely certain it came across more like arrogance then being "that guy in the corner muttering" like intended, and really, that was stupid of me.

Still amused to see so many people were intimidated by me of all people, though my heavy handed RP modding was certainly my own fault  and stopped making sense when the section began to die off.

If we're being perfectly honest, the generic big blanket statement that I'm not just saying because it's the lazy thing to do instead of going through everyone I can think of, my big regret is that I never got to know as many of you guy as well as I'd have really liked to, and that's mostly my fault for doing the aloof aura thing. Yeah, the Squall thing is a joke and he does mean quite a bit to me due to what was going on in life when I played that game, but at the same time, it's become super apparent to me that the connection is way, way more appropriate in hindsight over my attitude and actions, both here and in real life. My impressions of most people are basically "This person actually seems likea cool/interesting person, but I'm so uninteresting I don't want to bother them - oh hey, let me go start yelling at people because that's at least something I have going for me here!"

I'll put some actual ones up in a second, cooking at the moment.

Indeed we are DJ. You never scared me, we just rarely crossed paths on the forums. Now here we all are basically around 30 and all fairly close to being in the same boat.

This is honestly how I feel most of the time as well, so just know you're not alone in that. There's probably a few admins who can vouch for my awkwardness in my PMs. There's two people on LA I really feel that I opened up to, but I still even feel awkward around them sometimes, so I know what you mean by wishing you had opened up more.

XD

1. Please explain what you mean by anime hair.

2. I don't think that was Synile. That was another fella by the name of Link2147 or something. I remember the controversy when he was flat out banned for all his various names.

I think Toan knows whatever became of Flint, I think they know each other IRL.

It was November 2004 when I joined, I was 12. To me you were all like the cool older teens who showed me the ways of sexual jokes and nonsensical internet antics, and provided an atmosphere where I felt free to be my weird self, since everyone else was already weird!

There are only a few things that stick out in my memory about certain members, and those were Chik's molten spork, Lena's dictator persona, lots of lemons, and Toan's third ball.
