Down memory lane, that is. I was browsing around the archives, and a stumbled across some old threads just after the hack. There was a link to the Wayback machine, and I noticed how different LA's banner used to be. I spent awhile digging through the Wayback Machine, and compiled as many banners as I could find.

I figured this would be nice for our older members, being able to see some familiar images of the past. Feel free to post any memories, images, or anything else you would like.

If you look at one of the February 2003 archives, I'm the newest forum baby.

Sadly I can't remember what my original one was. It was back in 2003 time frame though. If I actually remember correctly I joined a couple months after the bot.

Oh yes, I remember LA's orange years. I'm pretty sure that was because people from the Desert of Mystery insisted upon it. Filling the forums with their weird, sand-tainted colors.

It should have been black and red. Tends to give off more of a warming, happy go lucky feeling.

And here I was going to say the orange one looks like "Legends AlNance Forums."

Unsurprisingly, I only recognize the last three. I think LA switched from the Napster logo to the ocean swish about the time I stopped lurking.

I remember quite well the 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Curiously, LA and ZL's design helped me a lot to get more creative in my school work back then. I got a lot of design ideas from looking at the sites' visuals and tried to replicate them by using paper and other stationary materials. Then I started developing a style of my own. I remember I used to spend hours and hours on end crafting school projects like that. (Probably should have spent that time instead on learning how to code, haha.)

I'd say you should be an honorary Loddie, but honestly I think maybe you are more of a Desert of Mystery kinda guy...

Personally, I think he's a total Hall of Heroes paladin. :o

But you never know. Some people you'd never expect to enjoy LoD actually fit in really well.

I've always found LA's dorm history to be rather fascinating, especially how it was woven into the Chronicles by a number of veteran LAers. It was interesting how each dorm went from being a hidden board for a select group of members, and eventually took identities of their own crafted by those members, ESPECIALLY LoD.

I wouldn't be opposed to being considered an honorary member of any of the older dorms that would have me, considering that I arrived just as Ikana/LW/FF were on the verge of closing, and was brought into Calatia afterwards. I always loved Calatia, it was such a fun group, and will forever be better than Koridai.   :P

Yeah, I always enjoyed what dorm activities I got to take part in, from LA Chron to the one dorm war I was a part of. The War of Sand and Ice game was one of the things that pulled me out of pure creative writing and into game design.

All this is to say that I think we should put our heads together on how to make our forum activities a content stream of it's own, because that would make the forums go nuts.

It seems we must educate the young on the virtues of the Pamphlet. Sit young children and be educated.
