I was wondering what everyone's favorite arcade game is here, new or old, so let's talk about 'em! My personal favorite is Ms. Pac-Man. As a kid, I was a huge Pac-Man fan, and when Ms. Pac-Man came out, I was really hooked. It was like the original game, but with maze variety this time around with the same concept that made the original Pac-Man so much fun to play!

Favorite arcade games?

I feel as though this would be better for the gaming section but since we're on the subject...
Tapper, Space Invaders and most of the Konami side scroller quarter eater games are my jam.

I haven't seen an arcade in like ten years, but my old favorites were Air Combat, Soul Calibur, Street Fighter II, and that nifty Star Wars saga arcade game that came out when they released the Special Edition in theaters. That one had a big screen in my local arcade, and bunch of people stopped to watch me play through the Battle of Hoth. And I was always a sucker for those rail zombie shooters.

Hah, you guys have good taste. Another favorite of mine is Ladybug, which was a Pac-Man variant, but you were able to turn walls to throw off the enemies chasing you! Felt like an interesting upgrade to the classical formula.

I miss arcades but it's nice that there are some smaller joints near where I live and a lovely barcade that opened a few months ago.

Ms. Pac Man and Frogger were the ones I probably played the most, but that was because I also had them at home on the SNES. Dragon's Lair was another favorite that our arcade had when I was little. Centipede was good too, but it seems like it was harder to find places that had that one. I also liked some of the more physical/active kinds of arcade games like skee-ball and whack-a-mole... and DDR when I was older.
I miss our old arcade. It was called Barrel of Fun, and the entrance was shaped like a giant barrel. XD

"How will this be different from other arcades in the area?"
"Here's how. We'll call it BARREL... of FUN. You know, like the saying? Barrel of fun? And then you know how we're gonna do the entrance? The entrance... will BE a BARREL!!" *knee slapping*
Like the Jump to Conclusions mat on Office Space.

Though in terms of more classic arcade titles, Donkey Kong, DK Jr, and Ms. Pac-Man are where it's at.

How come none of you here have mentioned any Neo Geo games? Metal Slug series, Blazing Star 2, Ninja Commando, Raiden, Twinkle Star Sprites, The Zero Team- those were my all time favorite arcades.

At least until the PS4 version dropped.

I could never pass up a game of Joust. There was just something so cool about knights riding around on ostriches over lava. It's such a bizarre concept, but I love it.
