Very little is known right now aside that he had cancer for 18-months and that he passed at the age of 69. I imagine more news and details will surface in the weeks to come. I'm come to enjoy his music only recently and just finished listening to his newest album, Blackstar, just the other night. It kinda hits you like a freight train.

Anyone else that saw Labyrinth as a kid feel like a part of their childhood has died?

That and now both Freddie Mercury AND David Bowie are dead? Under Pressure is going to be a far more depressing song now.

Yeah, hanging on until just after his 69th birthday was the most David Bowie thing he could have done tbh.

He hung on until after his birthday for that sole reason, I'm sure.

Well, that and probably the new album. Which I've realized now was his crafted farewell to the world.

I was pretty shocked when I heard about this. I listen to Rock music/news stations all the time and am a small fan of David Bowie, and yet I never heard that he was in poor health until he passed.

 

Poor soul. He will be missed.
