Hot damn, people! Stop what you're doing right now and find the new Daredevil show on Netflix or whatever alternative illegal means and watch it.

It's good. Like, cake good.

I see Steven S. DeKnight is involved.  That's super encouraging.  I hope it's more like Buffy and Spartacus and less like Smallville.

I'll tell you this: it has the best villain of any show/movie I've ever seen.

Better than Hank Scorpio.

I've got three episodes left, and it's been amazing so far. While I did come around to SHIELD and liked Agent Carter, this blows'em out of the water. Very much set in the same universe, but it doesn't get too overly cute or forced about it, and the casting's been great.

I'm definitely looking forward to aka Jessica Jones later this year as well as Luke Cage and Ironfist.

It's been a great series so far. I'm on episode five and it's been crazy. It feels like a Marvel movie but at the same time is a lot harder hitting than their movies. Having it on Netflix gives it certain room to grow in a different direction and that's all the more rewarding. Looking forward to how it ends once I get there.

Kingpin has never been more intimidating to me than in this show.  He's flawed and you feel for him, but at the same time he gives off the impression that he's just sooooo close to boiling over right underneath the surface and will go off and murder you right then and there.

Also, I really like what they did with Ben Urich.  He's the most humanized version, outside of the Frontline comics.  And he's not written as a magical negro.  He's a veteran of investigative journalism, yeah.  But he's got his own shit to deal with.  His arch with his wife really hits you right in the feels.

Episode 8 be all like GOD DAMN FISK YOUR BACK STORY SO SAD.

He's relatable, painfully relatable. He's got scars and deep down he's actually a decent human being but errrraagghhh he's still the villain. Such good characters in this series as a whole.

I know! Every awful thing that happens to him or he does in those flashbacks keeps getting topped by something even more messed up and/or twisted.

Finished the series, it's awesome. Love the final costume for the most part, and I really like how they wrapped up the series with a definite ending while still leaving good threads to pick up on, whether in a second season is or in the other shows. Just really smartly done and well connected to the greater universe without being obnoxious about it - like how Matt's dad had his final boxing match against Creel, the Absorbing Man, who showed up in Agents of SHIELD where they off handedly mention he used to be a boxer who cheated by hardening his fists, making the comment about how Murdoch's can take punches REALLY mean it.

There is a catch though, as the showrunner is stepping down.
