Right, so I'm sure you've all heard that Club Nintendo is officially ending.  You have until the end of March to register codes and the end of June to utilize your coins.  Thankfully, Nintendo has said that they're replacing Club Nintendo with a new system more integrated directly into their hardware.  And to make things feel a bit more optimistic, today Club Nintendo opened up the floodgates to a BUNCH of games available for download, A bunch of Mario Titles, LttP, MM, Yoshi's Island, Kid Icarus, Wonderful 101 (Seriously, if you don't have W101, GET THIS FUCKING GAME) and even Doc Louis's Punch Out (an exceedingly rare title, that was only ever available through Club Nintendo 6 years ago).  Physical releases are their too, including posters, puzzles and T-shirts.  Currently, the site is basically at a standstill due to the massive influx of people registering and claiming their prizes, but it is possible to navigate if you're patient.  And of course, the Mewtwo DLC and Smash Soundtracks are still being handled, so no worries there.

But yeah, go check out what's available.  The selection here is incredible.

Damn. Thanks for the tip. I forgot it was shutting down and have a bunch of coin that I saved up hoping that gold nunchuck would find its way back up. Time to give up hope on that.

Yeah, for some of us Club Nintendo will go out without a bang.  :link0_o: .

The only useful thing I ever got out of their loyalty programs was the Collector's Desk. Oh well. At least they promised more goodies in the coming months, but as of yet I have zero interest in anything they have to offer.

I don't know how it worked for you guys, but our Stars had expiration dates otherwise I would've saved them all up. It was practically impossible to buy the expensive items.

You know, in the NGC/GBA era, I had so many 24:7 VIP points... my bag got stolen once with all of my GBA games in it. *****Gimme back my FE characters you thieves!!!!**** so I bought a lot of the games twice. Then I didn't look at it for a few years, and they were all gone...

Does anyone know which, if any, of the games are not purchasable on the eShop and Wii Shop Channel normally?

Our Nintendo Points began expiring last year, but prior to that, yeah, you could stockpile them to the moon. In exchange, we didn't have nearly as much cool stuff as the PAL one did.

I still have.....way too much that I had saved up for the Gold Nunchuck as well and those 3DS XL chargers. Definitely eyeing some of those poster sets and games. Did they say anywhere if this si it or they'll add anything else closer to the end? I

Below are all the rewards and games that we are making available in conjunction with the discontinuation of Club Nintendo. Be sure to exchange your Coins for games or rewards before 6/30/2015! Quantity is limited on certain items.

If you take this literally, it means there won't be anything else.

So the website was much more cooperative today. I grabbed the Fierce Diety jigsaw puzzle, and had enough coins left over for a digital Wii U version of Super Metroid. Yus!

I ended up going in for Wonderful 101, though I'm not sure what else I want. I kinda want that jigsaw puzzle just to go with the soundtrack and to have another nice physical item. More then the posters that I'll never put up though.

I already got Wave 1 of the posters and I'm honestly not that hard pressed for any more physical rewards.  I had about 500 points, so I just got Doc Louis' Punchout (which I believe will always remain a Club Nintendo exclusive) and Super Mario World on WiiU.

I chased in hard on the 3DS:

- Donkey Kong '94 (Which is fantastic.  Screw the Minis)

- Harmoknight

- Ketzal's Corridors

- A Kappa's Trail

I'm going into Ketzal and Kappa practically blind, but they both had good reviews.  I had played the demo of Harmoknight, but I think that was when I was in the processing of moving, so I held off.  But you can't beat free.

If any is short for something the really want, I have an Animal Crossing code I'd be happy to donate to the cause.

The struggle is all too real.

I might take you up on that, though I've been stubborn about getting into animal crossing. I'm not sure I'm ready for it.

Sorry, I meant a Club Nintendo code, not a download.  But the point is moot because the code has been claimed.

Funnily enough, I went ahead and ordered Star Fox 64 3D because I really like that game and heck, why not.

And it gave me two codes. I talked to customer service in case I'd get in trouble or they'd cancel both codes since it was a mistake, and the guy on the other end sorta just said not to worry about it. So if anyone wants it, you can have it.

I wish I had a few more coins, I'd loved to have got Doc Louis's Punch Out. All the games I could buy, but not that.

Must be a non-European thing becuse I've logged in and I still can only find ringtones (which I don't want) or a Wii points card (which I can't use).

Yeah, it looks like Europe has a much more limited selection. Um, only if there truly isn't *anything* at all that you want, I could really use some Wii Points myself...

That's all good and well, but how do I transfer them?

Never mind, I was thinking you could get the card and get the code for the points off it, but I just looked it up and it seems the codes are restricted by NTSC/PAL region. But if the information I found was correct, you should be able to give the code to anyone in a PAL region, if you chose to do so.

That is putting it mildly. They did however, add a Super Mario cap for 4000 stars.  :linkomg:

Sheesh. Nintendo are really losing my goodwill fast. Well, I guess I'll just have to let those 400 star points expire then.

You could order the Nintendo Points/Wii Points cards and hold on to them in case you ever have a use for them. Or you could make a post on reddit or something, I'm sure someone would want them. Nintendo Points/Wii Points aren't usable in the 3DS or Wii U Nintendo eshop, but you can use them on a Wii U in Wii Mode on the Wii Shop Channel.

Ohhhww f's. I forgot my stars and points, and bought the cheap-ass Metroid Prime Trilogy today for regular cashes.

I was always like, I don't need Trilogy, cuz I have all the three games anyway so stop getting involved. But now with the 8GBs of updated displays and Wiimote controls I know that I have always needed this game. Ill just have to trade in for Wii points and buy other stuff then.

They also added a Zelda: A Link Between Worlds soundtrack CD but that item was snapped up within a couple of days. I would have bought it myself but I spent all my stars on an adorable Yoshi plushie.   :)
