No, seriously. Nintendo opened this Nintendo Direct with it.

I hope Japan or the US gets this too. : )
This is the third topic about it I'm posting in, but have been anticipating this ever since OoT 3D XD It's nice to hear it finally confirmed!

THAT IS A HANDSOME SET.
I think the US has just as much a change of getting something similar, although possibly through club Nintendo.

I hate to point out that precedent isn't on your side. Nintendo of Europe has been releasing some fantastic game bundles and Club Nintendo freebies for a few years now that America hasn't seen hide nor hair of. It all began with the Operation Rainfall games as I recall. Xenoblade was bundled with a red classic controller pro and a downloadable sample soundtrack from Club Nintendo. The Last Story and Pandora's Tower both came with steelbooks, art books and a sample soundtrack for Last Story. If you got all three games then you could also get a box containing three gold medals with the games' logos and insignias on them. After that, there was OoT 3D for which Club Nintendo gave away free retail soundtracks of the game. Then there's ALBW which came with a dual-sided cover and a little treasure chest-shaped cartridge holder that makes the Zelda item-get jingle when you open it. Zelda Wind Waker HD came bundled with a large Ganondorf figurine. Mario Kart 8 came bundled with a blue shell figurine and I think a t-shirt. Bayonetta 2 not only comes bundled with the first game but there's a limited edition with an art book. I could go on, and I know there's a few more that I'm forgetting. Perhaps the best example is with the upcoming Pokemon games. Not only is America not getting the steelbook or the figurine, but the standard game cases aren't even in the coloured plastic that the rest of the world is getting.
The only time America gets anything good from Nintendo these days are with console bundles. For everything else, Nintendo of America has been amazingly cheap.

And strangely, in the past, it was the other way round.
Anyway, I'm not entirely sure whether this is good news or not. I don't tend to buy remakes. In fact, I've never bought a new version of a game I already own and still own.

FYI, the Special Edition is now available to pre-order from the Nintendo Store, should anyone here be interested.
Also while I'm here, I was mistaken about the Wind Waker HD and Mario Kart 8 limited editions being Europe exclusive. Those bundles did in fact come to America. I'm still skeptical about this bundle coming to America but we'll see.
