Yo bros and brodewskis.

I'm fiddling with using InDesign to make one of those stylish PDF resumes all the cool kids have. It definitely holds less of my work history and other ventures, but I also might be way too wordy.

How do we dig this? Layout, color, font, etc.

I don't know anything about writing a résumé, but from a visual standpoint, it's excellent. It's appealing, but also organized in a way that you can see everything at a glance. I especially like how you nested your occupation under your name. Only thing I'm not sure about is the teal, but that makes it stand out, I guess ... If that's your real info though, you might want to rethink having it posted here publically. :P

Meh. Facebook already sold all that info years ago.

Is there a better color than teal you'd prefer? I really only chose it because I dig shades of green, and when everything's black it all kind of mushes together.

It's crisp. It's sharp. It's snazzy. And no CAPS LOCK or RA,NDOM COMMAS.

I like it. I'd hire you.

Also nice that all the skills are tucked away neatly on the left for quick skimming.

Please make Zeroth your new internet name so I can pretend I'm saying Xerox with a speech impediment!!!!

Also I like the teal.

Also also how long did it take you to choose all those fonts

Zeroth is actually a word so that name is taken most places. Not that I've checked. (I have...)

And sadly, it didn't take very long. The serif is Crimson which is my current go-to for everything, and the sans is Blue Highway. I went through maybe 4 sans fonts before I decided.

Looks wonderful, reads well. My only thought is that I've had it drilled into my head to bulletpoint your job descriptions. I used to have paragraphs and everyone told me not to. Bulletpoints scan more easily. And I love the pop of color; haters gonna hate.

Well it's just that teal kind of implies passiveness. It's also approachable, though. But with the way you set it up, pretty much any color would work. A bluer more desaturated turquoise, a dark reddish orange, or dark green would be colors I'd try to see how they look.

Yeah, I've heard it too, and my plaintext resume does the bulletpoint thing, but if I were to use them here I'd have to cut out even more of the stuff-that-I've-done. And the justified boxes of text look way too pretty to sacrifice to the bulletpoint god.

Teal kind of implies passiveness.

Fascinating. I've never really looked into color psychology. I always just take it for granted that people use colors because they enjoy those colors.

I just realized the reason I kept questioning the teal color in my head is because I almost exclusively associate that seafoam green shade with women's fashion because that's pretty much the only place I ever see it.

I worked with it in a computer design class in high school. I liked it a lot.

It's a little daunting at first because you can't just start typing like in Word. You sort of have to sculpt things into shape, but once you get that down it's crazy powerful.
