Ah, the mark of adulthood: you're more excited about giving xmas presents than getting them.

I'm pretty excited about my Dad's present, which is a set of Christmas stockings that I designed and knitted myself. There are some pictures up on Facebook if you want to see :D

And I'm also excited about my partner Evan's two presents, which is a fleece-lined flannel robe from LL Bean (which was 20% off yesterday when I bought it! Yessssss), and a nice thin leather card wallet, to replace his super bulky one that puts a giant distracting lump on his butt when he's wearing his nicely-fitted dress pants.

I knitted things for everyone else too but they're more boring :P

What are you excited to give to people for xmas?

Always happy to send my baked goods to people far away, nice to see them enjoy it. Just the idea of something I made being enjoyed (hopefully, anyway <.<) hundreds or thousands of miles away from me is stil;l kinda neat if you stop and think about it, and less and less people appreciate that sort of thing every year since it's so easy to communicate on-line and whatnot nowadays.

I mean, I'm excited and glad to see the happiness on any of my friends' faces when I give them a gift, so if anything it's the half-jokey but still genuinely thoughtful ones I'm looking forward to seeing the reactions to, mostly because it gets done to me as well and the joy on their faces when I open it is worth more then the gift itself.

Not to be a downer but there's also a lot less to give this year due to circumstances, so the ones I have left mean a heck of a lot more then before.

I'm not super stoked for any of my gifts this year. Last year was fantastic, but I just wasn't inspired this holiday season. I guess I'm excited for my sister to get the Circa Survive poster I sent her. It's their album art for Violent Waves created by a huge collage of instagram photos and was super limited edition nonsense. She's a huge fan of the band/Anthony Green in general.

I've felt the same way Zach. I don't know what it is, but maybe it was because last year was the first year in a long time I could really afford to give out gifts so it was exciting, idk.

Well ok, I guess I was pretty excited about giving Ben his. I got him a fancy spice rack cuz we previously just had like 30 bottles shoved into a cabinet that we always had to rifle through. Now most of them are organized! We're boring and gave each other our gifts already. >.>

I'm excited to give my sister and her boyfriend their presents. I have yet to meet the boyfriend, but my sister will be 23 weeks pregnant next week! So even though she recommended lame things like towels, which I got her a set anyways, I got her something spur of the moment. She absolutely loves boston terriers and I found a set of three little board books featuring this adorably drawn boston as the main character. And for her boyfriend to open while she opens that I got a baby headband in his school colors. Well, his first college colors. Green and yellow duck headband to match her dad's duck beanie come game season! I have no clue where he went to law school lol.

Kinda excited for the tanzanite studs I got my mom for Christmas.. But she will totally know what they are from the size of the box and a conversation we had like a month ago.. Adam's mom however is expecting to not get anything because she told him not to get her anything. however she is getting a little heart necklace that says mom with a few teeny tiny diamonds in it. btw did anyone else totally score at the Fred Meyer jewelers sale they had a few Weeks ago? lol.

not sure what to do about his brother and his family though... we have their presents all ready to go, but his brother just broke up with his gf after 9 years and 2 kids... She's all heartbroken and the girls are confused and upset... Do I send all the presents together...? or should I put his with his mom and sister's and just send the gf and nieces presents to their apartment...?

Hahahahahhahaha I haven't even started shopping yet. Last-minute warriors unite.

I actually hate Christmas. So that's why I always wait until the last minute. I'm only really exchanging gifts with my mother, and we both just kind of go "why bother."

I'm dead inside this time of year.

Well, I kept it pretty simple this year since my funds are quite low (especially after having to lend Dad some money after he broke his collarbone and was out of work), but I did find Mom this mug that's very apt, along with a set with some perfumes she likes. Dad got one of his gifts yesterday (ticket to see The Hobbit), along with a set of seat covers for his Lexus and a Blu-Ray of Led Zeppelin's The Song Remains the Same which I do believe is the first thing he's ever owned rather than rented in the medium. The fact that he didn't have it on DVD when he has some more obscure concerts is frankly astounding, and I almost didn't buy it thinking "surely he has it."

Japanese Puzzle Box for one friend.

I gave my other friend a replica I made of the poem from The Grey (one of if not his most favourite film) for his birthday. Not sure how to top it.

I kinda phoned it in this year, so not super excited about any of the presents I got anyone. :( I guess I picked up some neat looking graphic novels my sister will probably really like?

I haven't shopped much yet. I plan on taking my girlfriend out for an extended date in town around Christmas. Probably take her out to a nice dinner and dessert, and to some shops downtown.

MLP graphic novel for my sister. True that, it is much nicer to give than receive. Unless you're receiving food. ^.^

I'm giving my five-year-old son a bicycle.  That's kind of exciting, I guess.  I was excited to give my stepmom this clock that wisp and I rebuilt, but we gave her that yesterday.

I'm excited to give one of my martial arts teachers (my one of teacher's teachers actually) a set of tea and a club jacket from our Karate club. It kind of is a big step for me in taking care of business relations for the first time! I'm also excited to give my sister-in-law's dog a bone that is bigger than he is!

My other gifts are only okay this year.

Those all sound awesome you guys. I ran out of one color during the last stocking for my dad and I had to drive all around Cincinnati trying to find a yarn store that carried more of that specific yarn, but I got it and now I'm knitting like the wind trying to finish in time!

I totally phoned all of it in because I was working for the past two weeks and yeah. It's okay. They usually phone it in for me, too.

Mom:

* Seahawks T-shirt

* Slippers (as she requested)

Grandma:

* Candies and cookies (because she doesn't really want 'stuff' at her age)

Brother:

* Lite-Brite, 'cause he doesn't really play with regular toys and he's super ocd and makes patterns out of colored bead things, so yeah.

Uncle:

* Fleece PJ bottoms, cause... well, I dunno. Why not.

I meant to get grandma a big blanket, too, but I forgot. Oh well, too late now, not going back.

How about this for your soon-to-be-ex-stepfather?

So my friends now call me Pimp Daddy since the weekend we went to the coast, because of reasons. The same friend I made the framed poem for will now be getting a higher quality, photo-framed version of this as a troll present:

I was excited about Rova's gift. ;d

The clock was sort of exciting too I suppose, and I was kinda excited about the bell ornament we made for my stepson, but Pogo gave it to him before I got up this morning.

I'm excited for the prank present I'm giving this year, but I don't think it tops last year. One year a friend gave me a selection box he'd run over with his car so now we pretty much try to one-up each other every Christmas.

So far I've put gravel in a tube of smarties and bought an expensive box of chocolates and replaced them with advent calendar chocolate.

This year I bought a Lindt chocolate Santa and microwaved it to a pool of yule death.
