Apparently I'm leaning toward live performances. And blonde lady vocalists, it seems. I don't even have a thing for blondes! Go figure.

It's now Faroese folk singer time.

In the beginning, she jokes about how she wrote the song when she was heartbroken... for a grand total of two days. The song title roughly translates to "Now You Burn Within Me."

Not deliberately spamming female vocalists on purpose.

But this song, despite being light and catchy, actually highlights my mental state all too well. :(

(Sorry for taking a British person away from you, Vet.)

The movie itself was hit and miss, but the soundtrack was gold:

Because Jasi's going to the opera and it gave me opera feels, here's a scene from Don Giovanni and it's one of my favorite pieces. Dastardly playboy antihero goes to Hell. The ghost of the father of a woman he ruined is the one to drag him there. Subtitled.

Stay classy, bitches.

I keep forgetting to post.

Thinking of starting a sub-series about "awesome music from not-so-awesome films." In this case, a really horrible film.

Shame when pretty tunes are wasted on movies that people deliberately avoid for their own mental well-being.

Keep forgetting to do this!

Nothing special or unique about this one. Now that it's sunny and warm, thing song comes to mind. It always reminds me of summer. Maybe because the music video (since this came out when real-MTV was still a thing) involved a summer road trip. One of those songs on the radio while you sit out in the sun in the middle of nowhere.

More Fleetwood Mac, because they're one of my favorite bands so deal with my ancient classic rock nonsense.

"The Chain" was one of their more popular bluesy songs, and was famous for its rather explosive finish. This is an early demo - much slower, only a guitar and vocals, and I really like its almost folk-like simplicity.

In honor of E3 announcements and console rivalries, have some Mega Man..... a la Genesis. Dude redid the whole soundtrack. Well, soundtracks. He pretty much remade all Mega Man classic and Mega Man X soundtracks.

Rock is usually my favorite genre, but I guess I haven't felt very rock-y lately? Or maybe it's because the rest of you are posting good rock/grunge/hard rock tracks, so I've gotten my fix.

Here's this instead:

Maybe I'll get back into my rock groove at some point. Or more blues. I grew up with blues.

Still, kind of interesting how traditional Nordic music sounds a lot like what people think of when they're thinking of Native American music. Just kind of shows that everyone's the same on the most basic levels!

Proof that not everything on Newgrounds is crap. A soothing Gregorian chant version of the Temple of Time. Want in game. Do listen in HD if possible.

Right, jukebox, I keep forgetting I have one.

Here's a random girl on youtube covering an old Swedish folk song and, unlike a lot of youtube cover artists, actually does a really good job with it.

Right. Jukebox. I have one. I keep forgetting about that.

In honor of the metal thread going on, here's some old-school proto-metal Judas Priest in 1975. Complete with bad 1975 fashions.... and Rob Halford with hair. And a suspiciously chilled out BBC guy introducing a heavy metal band like he's introducing the latest Jane Austen adaptation.
