So, apparently, a study has been conducted that shows that size really does matter.

Can anybody spot the flaw in the study? And more importantly, women, do you think size matters?

Is the flaw that we started wearing clothes millennia ago, and Penz0rz in most cases can't be a basis for a first impression?

Well YEAH if you project life size images of naked men on a wall and then ask the women to judge them based SOLELY ON APPEARANCE there will be a lot of attention on the guy's penis. For a lot of reasons including the fact that, if they're sitting, it's probably near eye level, and that it's fairly taboo to look at life-size pictures of men with their junk out which only draws more attention to the penis.

Also, an appealing appearance can provide an initial attraction but it's very rarely the main aspect of choosing a partner... And when people do enter relationships that are based mainly on that, they usually don't end up staying together very long.

The fact that the images are computer-generated is another thing that has me questioning the application of the study to real life situations.

And when you make sweeping generalizations like this, there are SO many people that are exceptions to the typical. Especially with human sexuality which is so extremely complicated. Picking someone just by looking at a naked computer-generated picture is completely different from choosing someone in the real world. Most people are not so superficial deep down. There is a reason "personality" is the thing many people answer when asked what they think is most important in a partner... and that's not something you can generate and project on a wall.

Well, I'm not a woman, but personally, when judging by appearance, I like guys who are short, pale-skinned, a bit chubby... and who do NOT have a large penis. Those things that are supposed to be "unattractive" actually tend to be turn-ons for me. I'm sure there are women with the tastes similar to mine, too...

Size doesn't really matter to me. As my mother puts it "It's not the pen, it's the penmanship." No I did not ask. Just if you happen to be making penis size jokes around her, she's going to have her own quips. Oh the things I over hear... I love my family. XD

Okay yeah, I meant to say, flaws (plural). And I just noticed that the study was published in PNAS, which I always say as if it was a word.

Count your blessings, ladies: you can show off your chests with a low-cut. Me? Not so much.

But the internet's mind is very much confused on this one. People like to say size is irrelevant...but the porn says otherwise.

If we go by porn standards then my rack is far too small. And I'm not exactly petite where my boobs are concerned.

But yet every guy I've talked to and then having it confirmed by my husband is that guys like a nice handful and maybe then some but any more is just too much.

Oddly enough the person to introduce me to the handful concept was Laz. XD Guys don't know cup sizes, they know handfuls.

In other words, porn is full of dirty lies!

Also, that guy in porn with the twelve inch schlong? Makes me cross my legs in pain just thinking about it. Do. Not. Want. There is such a thing as too much.

As long as whatever I'm fucking is vagina/butt-sized then it doesn't matter how many inches it is. ;d

OK, serious response time (yes, the above post was in jest).

I have actually heard women go all sorts of ways on the size thing, from saying it doesn't matter to "too big hurts" to "if it's too big, get over it, if it's too small it's is a deal breaker."

The actual research I've seen suggests only the outer third of the lady's equipment is particularly sensitive, so the only real concern is "hitting the back"...which takes a really big penis and a small woman. That, and reminder: something rather important is on the outside.

I have a solution for this, though: Because there is no correlation between a man's body size and what he's got, a woman dating a guy is basically guessing blind. A vagina, however, is an internal organ and is at least loosely tied to body type, at least in the depth department (the largest recorded vagina was had by the "Giantess of Nova Scotia," who was one inch short of eight feet tall.) So you "well equipped" guys, date tall women. Everybody else? Doesn't really matter.

Yeah, this study was one I didn't want to take too seroiusly because of the sample size. Couldn't really access the method section, but I have this feeling they only picked college students and we all know they're huge perverts.

Size doesn't matter. It really is how you use it. Girth matters a little bit, but even then, it's how you use it. There are ways to hit 'that spot' even if you are smaller/shorter than average. You don't have to have a huge/long penis to please a woman.

Believe me on this one...

I don't see how any penis, big or small, can be called attractive. They are the ugliest pieces of anatomy.

I don't really think vaginas are all that pretty to look at either. Fun to play with, but I'm not saying a penis isn't fun to play with. Who doesn't like to play with their own from time to time? Or more?

It might just be because I'm little, but honestly, i dont care for size. I think of myself as asexual, despite my perversity. ^w^U
