Which do you think is the best Dark type?
Something traditional like Tyranitar, or a speed demon like Weavile?

Best? Probably Tyranitar. Bulky, great moves, great ability, great power... All around a solid choice. Weavile is cool, but very frail.
Most fun, though? I'm going with Purrloin and Liepard. I have a Purrloin team on Pokémon Showdown and Online which is great fun; Purrloin normally ends up winning for me. It outspeeds and OHKOs Volcarona 100% of the time in the sun! And, well, just wrecks everything, basically. (The team is Ninetales, Victini, Spinda, Infernape, Purrloin and Liepard. You can probably work out how it works from knowing that.)
I generally don't save the replays where I rely on Purrloin, since they come up so often; here's a vid where I win with Spinda, though:

And here's one someone else saved that does show Purrloin outspeeding and taking out Scizor and so on (I nearly eke out a win despite the bad team matchup and misplaying heavily at the start): http://www.pokemonshowdown.com/replay/oucurrent5176040
I have a really fun Liepard deck for PTCGOnline as well! I think my record is getring my opponent up to 27 prizes left to take.

I really can't say. Hard question. But, like Rova, Scraggy saved my ass many times.

Are we supposed to answer scientifically, thus its inclusion in this specific forum?

Yeah, why on Earth is this in Science and Humanities, Vet?
If it's okay by you, I'm gonna stick this in Gaming... But if you REALLY wanted it here, feel free to move it back..!
EDIT: Shit, this is what I get for not getting the joke by just clicking on the most recent topic from the index. Moving it back..!

Don't feel bad, I almost missed it too. Caught on just before I hit post and changed my post.
And non-scientifically, Tyrannitar. Because he's bootleg Godzilla.

The idea of a boxer OHKO Godzilla is incredible.
