I still regard DJ and Vet as being half as old as the planet itself, although they really only joined a year or two ahead of me.

Hey, I'm only 4 months older then you. >.>

Though I think it's because the forum itself wasn't that old when I joined back in the day. As a result all of us who were already here and had formed a community were viewed as vets of the place, even when now, years later a lot of those "new" folks are as old as we are.

Though of we go by how many hacks we've been through I suppose that can do it.

There's also the fact that two or three years difference seems like nothing to us here in our mid-late 20s (for the most part), whereas the same difference in ages/reg dates seems huge to the demons of adolescence that we may have been back in the day.
