I've seen on some boards they have an add-on that will, instead of having the picture of the triforce like we do now (and the mods and admins have the other ones) it would be just your country's flag.

I'd like to proudly flag my Maple Leaf, whaddya say?

I definitely would prefer to keep the member group thingies Zelda-fied, but a flag icon somewhere in the profile or wherever isn't a bad idea.

To kinda mix things up, I think allowing people to have their own banner would be kinda cool too, as long as its a certain size limit or whatnot.

They'd have to make a whole new member group just for one person if they wanted to have a custom one, though. That would get irritating for the admins if lots of people wanted to do it.


It could be a neat prize for any competitions we may or may not do in the future though.

Oh, I see what you mean. I just assumed that there could be an option where people could upload banners like avatars and the such.

I think most of us are still going to be in favour of keeping it optional. I'd rather keep my triforce than have a flag there. XD

It IS a nice idea, but I'd still rather just have the Zelda one, too. >_> I wonder what Toan's implementation idea was going to be.

Yeah, the banners have always been something Zelda related, I'd like to keep them that way. If you want a Canadian flag so bad then replace one of the gifs in your sig with one.


At first I thought you were talking about the little revolving Triforces the admins have next to their names, down at the bottom of the forums when they're online. It could be neat for members to have their flags next to their names like that, maybe.

I took everyone's suggestions and thoughts into consideration, and I brainstormed. After a few hours of research and work, I was able to throw together what you see on my profile to the left. I hope it meets everyone's criteria for what a good country representation should look like, and you can now go to your profile and select a country from the drop down to get your own flag. There are plenty of countries to choose from (I think all of them?) and a few fun ones thrown in for good measure.

If you don't what what a flag is on someone's profile, just hover over it with your mouse, and a tooltip will tell you where they are from.

Thoughts, anyone? As always, let me know if I broke anything!

Also, Steel, I made sure it's optional. The field defaults to showing a blank entry at the top of the drop down menu in the Edit Profile screen. You can select that, and your profile will simply show no country at all.

It would be cool if we could have Hyrule and few other fantasy nations as options as well, just for shits and giggles but this is cool nontheless.

It's a 'Special Administrative Region' due to the fact the British had it for almost 100 years and implemented democracy and free will everywhere. I think the Communists would have shut it down a long time ago if it didn't make them so much money.
