Note: The roleplay uses some names and ideas from Isaac Asimov’s Robot Series, if anybody’s familiar with them.

ooc: Handheld weapons will be the typical ballistic ones of our time, albeit much more accurate and faster rate of fire; the ones on spaceships will probably be high firing rail guns.

Go time.

At exactly 7:00 AM, Eastern Standard Time, on a bright Sunday morning, an alarm clock rang off. The ringing sound awoke Leo Crimson, General of the Home Fleet, from his deepened sleep on the couch in his living room, across from his 72 inch plasma television. Already morning? he thought fuzzily. Getting to his feet, he moved unsteadily towards the washroom, trying to clear his foggy head; the remnants of the late night party with his fellow Home Fleet officers last night were still evident with food all over the ground in his rather large house. Splashing some water onto his face and smoothing back his short hair, Leo felt clearer and proceeded to shave. Once the morning clean-up was finished, he made his way towards his bedroom; retrieving his phone, he checked it for any messages and found one. Good to go, then. He then changed into a pair of fatigues and packed his casual clothes in a sports bag in case he was able to get off work early.

With the tension building up between Earth and the Outer Worlds, that possibility seemed remote for the day.

Getting into his hover car, Leo quickly drove across Wall Street, watching out for any possible trouble; this area of New York had been quite unsafe in the past few months, possibly from Earthmen pleading for the government to repair relations with the Outer Worlds. Crazy people. As if we weren't already trying to fix things. Leo knew for a fact that the majority of Earth's population didn't know that the Earth government had already sent several more trading ships full of supplies to the Outer Worlds in order to relive the tension; for once, it seemed to be going somewhere, but the recent Conference between the planets also made the leaders nervous about something. If the Outies have got something planned, it's probably something that we won't like.

Setting his car down in a parking lot, Leo hefted the G36K out of his trunk and made his way towards the military complex; he nodded in greeting to one of his fellow officers. "Michaels."

"General," replied the colonel in response; together, they made their way through the building and towards their briefing room. "I take it you heard the news?"

"That I did," replied Leo gravely. "Just last night, too; hopefully, they'll have a solution before the Outies think about attacking."

----------------------------------------------

UN Headquarters, as it was informally known (there was no official name), was located within a complex in Manhattan, New York. In the past 200 years, there had been dozens if not hundreds of security upgrades in order to protect the world's leaders from those opposing the former's views. Everyday, there were always at least 10 people on every entrance and exit, plus radar protection against any incoming missiles or chemical attacks. Although the plaza itself, 1 United Nations, was open to visitors, each one had at least two eyes following him/her to make sure that trouble was not imminent. Within the complex itself, it was a similar story, but the security was greatly lessened by the fact that it was almost impossible for any possible terrorist to get past security. Once safety was out of the way, Earth's leaders could get down to business.

Settling himself down into a familiar spot on the stage, Leo adjusted the collar of his uniform and quickly dropped his hands just as the Assembly began. Standing up, he turned to watch Chuen Hao-yi, the 31st Secretary-General since the UN's formation after the catastrophic event known as World War II in history classes. A native of Southeast China, Chuen was no stranger to dangerous situations, no matter what field. And that's what this is all about, thought Leo again.

Buttoning his shirt, Chuen spoke into the microphone. "Thank you all for coming today. We will get down to the matter at hand immediately…" Activating a hologram in the open space above everyone's heads, the Secretary-General proceeded to carry out his emergency presentation. "Earlier last night, our satellites orbiting Neptune intercepted a rather weak transmission heading for one of the larger asteroids; it was in one of the Outer World codes that we've broken. The message was very short, but seemed to imply a large military force on its way towards our Solar System."

Chuen then paused in his speech. "Before I carry on, I propose that all available military personnel be put on permanent standby and to report to designated stations immediately. Are there any objections?"

Obviously, there were none.

"Good, Now…" Chuen then returned to his presentation, with an audience of world leaders listening attentively...

I definitely wish to join, thouhg I just need a little more time to do the finishing touches on my character... I spent of time thinking about the place he would come from, so in the mean time, I'm going to show my interest, and submit this world for inclusion.

ooc: ok here we go.....

Somewhere in the galaxy, location unknown, on a small shuttle a small alarm went off. The figure in the shadows stretched and yawned, then flipped a switch and turned on the lights. The figure was thin framed catwoman, her black fur glistened slightly in the light.
"What now." she moaned as she stood up and walked over to the pilots seat and sat down. She flipped the the alarm switch off and glanced at the counsel. "Just another false alarm, I gotta fix that but with what money I ask myself." Eclipse sighed and leaned back into the chair. She scratched her head and rubbed her ears, the way she does when she is semi annoyed at herself.
I really need to get a crew, but again no money. Eclipse thought to herself and sighed. "Another long day ..."
