I've been thinking about slightly changing my timeline, and putting MC-FS-FSA next to each other. But I'm not completely sure that MC Link is the same character as FS/FSA Link.

The only real evidence that they might be the same is that they are both childhood friends with Princess Zelda, but I don't feel that's enough evidence.

So what evidence supports that they are the same?

There isn't any. TMC was Vaati's origins story and he is just a legend by FS/FSA.

yeah, vaati is a figure from the distant past in the fourswords games. doesn't really gel having minish cap happen in the same era.

You could put them next to each other with two different Links and a long time gap between TMC and FS. But it's not the same Link. (You also need to fit in the FS backstory, with presumably another different Link.)

I always figured TMC was the FS backstory, and said backstory just got a lot of shit wrong, like how OoT (at least at one point) was the Imprisoning War. That probably doesn't work at all, though, since I don't remember or care much for any of the FS arc.

I think Tingle's existence has been officially confirmed as Nintendo trolling fans. He's supposed to be a parody of middle-aged gamers living at their parents place and living vicariously via video games about swordsmen and princesses and fairies and such. Who knows what else is just there just to make us fans do this--> FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU!
