http://www.zeldainformer.com/2010/10/the-message-of-majoras-mask.html

Found this while reading through Twitter actually, found it really interesting, and really in depth. Especially considering MM was one of, if not my FAVORITE Zelda game.

Nothing to do with time lines or anything. It mostly details the underlying theme of Majora's Mask, and the reason things that are happening in the land of Termina are happening. Why the world is ending, where Majora's Mask actually came from, etc...

Haven't seen anything like this, but if it's been posted before, go ahead and lock/delete. Otherwise, Enjoy :)

Does this work?

Ah, that Majora's Mask theory. Yes, it's been posted before, but still quite an interesting read... I'm replaying Majora's Mask at the moment, in fact. Haven't got to Ikana yet though (just about to do Great Bay Temple). Well, it's interesting, but quite a leap of logic to get from obscene statues to Stone Tower being akin to the Tower of Babel. But then, a lot of Majora's Mask is kind of left open to interpretation, so who can say? I might have a little more to post about when I've played through that section and it's fresh in my mind...

Yeah, that link works. Didn't realize mine was bad. Thanks.

And yeah, it's quite a leap. But it's startling just how similar the stories are.

I like it, but I've always liked Majora's Mask theories. The game is just good, and one of the true examples of games as art.
