[He-Man]

Okay, I thought I'd do another quiz. This is on the enemies in Star Wars: Dark Forces, developed and released by Lucasarts for MS-DOS in 1994-1995 and then the PSX in 1996. Do not look through my Star Wars: Dark Forces video topic in Gaming.


1) What is the name of the sewer creature that first appears on Mission 3: Anoat City, which will attack by coming up in your face if you don't kill it or get out of the muck it's dwelling in? It first appeared in the original Star Wars movie, in the trash compactor scene.
2) This pig-like enemy in the game comes slowly towards you and is armed with an axe. Getting hit by one of these guys causes you to lose 40% of your health in one hit, but they're harmless from a distance.
3) This character just scurries around on certain levels, and drops a battery when destroyed.
4) A nasty robotic foe to encounter on Imperial levels starting on Mission 4: Research Facility. These things shoot hot painful lasers and take several shots to take down, but are on the ceiling and are stationary. They can swivel around on their bases up to 360 degrees.
5) This character first appeared in the original Star Wars movie. He's clad in white and is armed with a blaster rifle.
6) These metallic foes are first encountered in Mission 5: Gromas Mines. They're armed with swords and shields, and will chase after you when they spot you. It's better to run away from them while using explosives, rather than blast them with energy weapons.
7) This three-eyed alien loves to attack from a distance by tossing thermal detonators, and he has got world-class aim. If he gets in close, he starts punching. The game also has a variant of this guy that only punches. They say "Wait up, who's there?" in a very low voice when they see you.
8) You'd hate having to deal with these beasts on Mission 10: Jabba's Ship, where you're forced to face between 1 and 5 of them with only your fists. They are big monsters that attack by biting and lunging at you. Jabba called this creature one of his pets.
9) This tiny droid attacks by darting around you like a balloon with its air let out, while shooting you with lasers that barely do any damage at all. Not much health here either.
10) This guy is dressed in brown and attacks with a bryar pistol. He's the weakest of the Imperial troops, and one of his quotes from the game is "You're in violation of Imperial law!".
11) This foe first appears on Mission 8: Robotics Facility. This big foe flies around, has a lot of health, and is armed with a weapon that shoots both plasma and missiles.
12) You should be careful dealing with these guys. They walk around holding their concussion rifles like Jimi Hendrix held his guitar. If they spot you, they open fire, and you can't see the projectile until it explodes all over you. Crouching provides no protection against them unless they're far away. Their pain and death screams are high pitched.
13) This is the sith lord that is second-in-command to Emperor Palpatine, and is Luke Skywalker's father. He only appears in cutscenes during the game.
14) This fat and grotesque crime lord lives in a palace on Tatooine. In this game, he only appears on the cutscene to Mission X.
15) This Imperial is tougher than the other two. He's dressed in all black and wears a helmet that leaves his face visible. Like the enemy mentioned in question #5, he is armed with a blaster rifle and has the same quotes.
16) This droid first appears on Mission 3: Anoat City, and it attacks with a blaster regardless of distance. When first encountered, it says something that sounds like gibberish and difficult to understand. It first appeared in The Empire Strikes Back.
17) This is a notorious bounty hunter who appeared in The Empire Strikes Back. He flies around with a jet pack at the end of Mission 11: Imperial City, and he constantly fires rockets at you. He's one of the toughest enemies in the game.
18) This black orb shoots at you from a distance, but will pierce you with its needles if you get too close. It was used as a torture device in the original Star Wars movie.
19) This is the final boss of Star Wars: Dark Forces. In this guise, he attacks like the enemy in question #11, but instead of using a regular missile, his missiles appear in groups of five and home in on you. During most of the game, he appears outside his guise in certain cutscenes.
