I didn't think it would take you guys this long to find this info. It's been circulating for at least a week or two. A remake of ALTTP is a very good idea. It could clear up a few storyline issues, and we could finally get the chance to see the Trident Ganon in 3D. Between this possibility, OOT 3D, and SS, I think I'm set for the rest of the year.

Well this isn't surprising at all. I heard years ago that they wanted to remake ALttP. Given that they're also re-releasing 3D versions of old games, this makes sense.

I didn't think it would take you guys this long to find this info. It's been circulating for at least a week or two. A remake of ALTTP is a very good idea. It could clear up a few storyline issues, and we could finally get the chance to see the Trident Ganon in 3D. Between this possibility, OOT 3D, and SS, I think I'm set for the rest of the year.

ALttP was already remade once, and it didn't claer anything up despite "Seven Wise Men" being edited into "Seven Sages." Which would have made things a whole lot clearer... if was back in the late 90's...but only made things worth when TP and TWW made it seem that OoT was no longer the IW of ALttP.

Besides, I don't see what's the big deal. It's "ALttP in two layers" which leads me to believe that it will still be the same 2D graphics, only with some parallax effect going on.

What I'd rather see is a new Zelda 3DS of OoT 3D caliber.

Ditto SOAP. If the remake is done with a true 3D engine (like the OoT remake engine) it'll be a lot of fun. I don't see any evidence of that, though. What I do see evidence of is a 2D Zelda game given a 3D makeover. . .which, in my humble opinion, is a waste of money. I mean, two layers? Are you kidding me? That's REALLY cheap.

"Cheap" or not, ALttP will always sell. Having it as a download is exciting though. What other properties might get the same treatment? I'm interested, Nintendo.

I agree I'd rather see them come up with something knew for the 3DS instead of redoing old stuff for it. Especially if they keep the old school graphics.

Why not? A large number of Zelda games are disguised remakes.
