I'm not sure if it's been done before, but I have finally come to a conclusion regarding the Zeldaverse. If I was to pick any place to live in, I would choose Clock Tower. Aside from when Majora tried to crush it underneath a gigantic rock that might or might not have been the moon (I don't really think it was the moon), nothing really bad happens to the place (so far as we know). It's a reasonable distance from the beach. If you like skiing, it's a reasonable distance from the mountains. There's a nearby farm, so you get fresh milk delivered. There's a postal service, a bank, a park and plenty of entertainment. True, the observatory is a bitch to get into and there seems to be a gang of delinquent children who (judging from the name of their group) aspire to become terrorists. There doesn't seem to be any school for the children, but otherwise, this isn't a bad place to live.

Hyrule, on the other hand, is consistently being attacked by Forces of Darkness. Death Mountain isn't very habitable and... well, Lake Hylia isn't too bad, I suppose.

So where would you like to live in the Zeldaverse?

Even though I don't like heat too much, I'm assuming that Subrosia has a dry heat which is alright. The economy is great down there and jobs would be plentiful due to all the ore mining. It doesn't seem to be all too touristy either... so no summer people! I mean, it's pretty easy to get to the surface for supplies or sunlight and now that there's a tower there you probably get in some fresh air. (or something) Other than the occasional rock flaming rock storm you have never ending dance parties and a place to use your otherwise useless items. Plus, you get to wear a cloak if you wish.

Outset Island seems like a great place to live on, at least if you have the means to travel the surrounding oceans easily.

OoT Lake Hylia, definitely.

Lake Hylia is one of those places which you can see changes which tell you what part of the timeline you are on. By the time Twilight Princess happened, the Gerudo and Hylian races occupied the same space without actually being fused. Reading between the lines, for instance, I got the impression that Renado basically told Telma--the Gerudo-- "I don't date black girls." By that time, Lake Hylia was reasonably safe and people were starting to use it for amusement parks.

During Ocarina of Time, however, the Gerudo and the Hylians didn't get along AT ALL. Effectively, in the aftermath of Hyrule's Civil war it was a no-man's land between the Gerudo and the Hylians, but even more to the point, it was an unsettled part that neither side really cared about. If you settled there the only people you'd ever see would be the Lakeside Lab professor and the occasional Zora traveler. Basically, a beautiful place all to yourself.

I think I would like to live in Hyrule Castle Town. Shopping, bowling, beautiful view of the castle, giant walls for protection. And with all the travelers passing through, there would be no lack of new things to buy and men to seduce.

Zora's Domain or thereabouts. I wouldn't want to live in a cave with a bunch of fish men but I'd love to have a place with a view of it's entrance, especially the one from Twilight Princess. Also, the music is awesome.

Other places I'd like to live are:

Outset Island TWW
Link's Oasis TWW
Windfall Island TWW
Lon Lon Ranch OoT
Ordon Village TP
Castle Town TP
Lake Hylia TP

Places I would visit bbut I wouldn't want to live there are:

Snowpeak TP (Too cold but awesome for snowboarding)
Twilight Realm TP (Beautiful but too melancholic)
Goron City OoT/TP (Great music but a total sausage fest. And not the good kind)
Lost Woods Any Game (Actually I'd settle for pictures of the place. I get lost too easily.)
Kakariko Village ALttP/FSA (Cute town but the crime rate is too high)
Village o the Blue Maiden FSA (Nice beaches and cool music but a little creepy)
Arbiter's Grounds TP (Beautiful archecture and rich history but too creepy. Might go if if I had the TAPS investigation crew from Ghost Hunters with me.)

Probably Clock Town, too, from a practical point of view. At least it has, like, places to buy food and stuff. What are you going to live on on Link's Oasis? Seagulls?

Well, Tingle says that there's a lot of delicious seafood there, apparently. Then again, Tingle says a lot of things.

Except that didn't really work out in Ocarina of Time did it? It didn't work in Twilight Princess either, come to think about it. :P

Well, yes, but most of the time it seems to work pretty good! I imagine if the walls weren't there, the citizens would be terrorized by stalchildren every night.

It's not like I can't leave the island to buy groceries, gods! :rage:

But Clock Town is probably more practical. However, I kinda like Castle Town better. Clock Town has graffiti all over it and makes me think it's riddled with thugs and poverty. Castle Town looks really clean, even if it's a bit crowded and no one stops to talk to you.

Well, this is very good thread. I'd choose TP Hyrule Town. I like big cities. =P Otherwise, TP Lake Hylia.

Give me a boat like Link had in The Wind Waker, and that definitely gets my vote. I'd say post TWW incidents. XD

Really? I never noticed that. Maybe it's those Bomber kids...

They are a suspicious bunch.

But then again, it was during festivities so maybe all the walls were painted to be all colorful.

Windfall Island in TWW seems like it would be a nice place to live. There are plenty of shops, almost guaranteeing some employment. It's also a pretty busy place so you would probably never get bored, the auction house would be interesting to go to just to see what's up for sale. The cafe would be good for serving my needs for caffiene.

It's also not too far away from Dragon Roost Island, which would be a nice place to visit once in a while.

I think Windfall or Clock Town would be my preference. Windfall would suck during hurricane season, though... so maybe a main residence in CT and a vacation home on Windfall would be a good compromise.

Lon Lon Ranch... for obvious reasons.

But then there's Outset Island. Seems like a very peaceful little place.
