your most frustrating Zelda moment

Mine comes from when I first played LA (the DX version). I made it all the way to Turtle Rock (I think that's the name of the last dungeon before the Wind Fish egg. I havn't played through the whole thing since 2007), and I only had one small key remaining. There were two locks that I didn't open yet, and there were no other paths avalible. I chose one, and there was a locked door RIGHT BEHIND THAT ONE, and for some stupid reason, I saved. I had to play through the whole game again after that. The best thing that came out of that was that I decided to play through the secret dungeon that time. I've heard that I am not the first one to make this mistake, and I doubt I will be the last. To bad there wern't any surplus keys like in LOZ and ALTTP.

So, that's actually even more frustrating - you reset the game for no reason!
There have been times were Zelda games have made me throw the controller down in frustration, but I'm hard pressed to recall specific instances. Probably things like trying to get a perfect score in the archery games.

I don't think it's possible to get completely out of keys stuck in LA. There was an area in the original were you could just about make a nearly impossible jump and thus do it, but it was fixed in DX.
So, that's actually even more frustrating - you reset the game for no reason!

Now I'm even more frusterated about that! Thanks a lot, Showsni! I thought I screwed up my game when I used the wrong keyhole and searched the entire Turtle Rock dungeon trying to find another key, but I couldn't. It was actually benefitual when I think about it, since I had over 100 game overs by the time I reset the game, and I had way less than that (plus the blue tunic)when I finally beat it. I never heard about the water dungeon thing, but then again, I never played the black and white version. It was hard enough finding the DX version (which I found at some gamestop complete with the box almost intact, at least it was until I accidently riped part of the box trying to open it). Let alone the orginal version with the possibility of a dead battery since the game is 17 years old (unless Game Boy batteries can last that long).
Even more frusturating than what I mentioned is when I am trying to find a solution to a puzzle or something, and it is so simple or obvious I don't even think about it until I run out of options. One think I don't like about the puzzle Zelda games. They need more action ones.

What's the dumbest and/ or most frustrating thing you have ever done while playing a Zelda game?

Now that you mention it, I'm sure there was a dungeon in the original LA where I ran out of keys. But it's such a long time ago, I've forgotten which one it was.
My most frustrating moment, however, is the final boss battle with Spirit Tracks. Fighting Malladu's beast form is so frustrating! One mistake and you have to start all over again.

Oh, also, one time getting to Carock, the easiest boss in the game, but realizing I didn't have enough magic for Reflect, despite being in otherwise good health (but on my last life). Very, very frustrating. I had to basically stand there and let myself die.

Finding out that Reflect works on Thunderbird this past year. Not so much frustrating as a "LOL why did I never know this the other fifteen times I beat the game".
Why did I not know this?! I'll have to try that next time.

Wait, what? Really?
Another frustrating thing is finally getting to Dark Link only to be beaten horribly by him every time. Until you learn the cheap way to beat him.

Disagree hardcore. They need more action ones.
The only frustrating Zelda moment I can easily recall came, entertainingly enough, in Link's Awakening DX as well. Although mine involved a puzzle in one of the dungeons. I was playing it before the ease of access the internet has today (as I recall anyhow) and one dungeon just didn't seem solvable. I forget which one. It caused me to put the game down for years before finally returning to it, to beat the game.

I know, right! But seriously, you'll end up deflecting like half of his attacks, making him all the easier to beat. It's kind of awesome.

I've used reflect on him a few times, but I don't remember it actaully doing anything. Compared to the rest of AOL, the last palace was nothing. The path was hell.

I meant the games should be designed like the older games that had more adventuring and action than a bunch of puzzles. After you memorize the puzzles, the 3D Zeldas, and most of the newer ones with a lot of puzzles, are far too easy. Same with the bosses. The bosses are basically puzzles that can be cracked very easily. Basically, they need to be harder so we can get more frustrating moments.

I can't think of anything specific right off the top of my head, but I know that in the older games especially I ran into quite a few places where I wanted to throw my controller through the wall. The water temple in OoT and the Great Bay Temple in MM are always annoying to me, so I guess they count?
EDIT: OH MY GOD. I can't believe I forgot this. That damn swimming course in MM where you have to follow the beaver and swim through all the rings. #$&@*!

I LOVE doing that :V Give it to me I will play that part for you

Actually now that I think about it.. I'm not sure if this counts, as it's not really "frustrating", but rather... I just dread doing it. But any time I have to swim anywhere in deep water and can't see very far in it. Lakebed Temple has a bunch of deep pools/tunnels of water that I just HATE. And getting the Zora eggs from those giant eels in MM. If I'm playing through either of those games I will put the controller down for like a week before I make myself complete those parts. >_>
But yeah. Like I said, not really frustrating, I just have my own stupid fears that make those kinds of parts hard to do without lots of procrastination. XD

Though, if you want to talk about the game freezing, look no further than my copy of Zelda's Adventure. It's so frustrating to try and complete with all the freezes! I made a video of it being annoying:
Can't do anything. Locked out of the game.

What? The older games were THICK with puzzles. And personally I love the puzzle aspect of Zelda. The biggest problem is the fact that the developers design the games with the idea that everyone should be able to play. I think everyone SHOULD be able to play, but I want more complicated puzzles.

THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING. If Zelda is to include a lot of puzzles, at least make them as hard as the ones in OOT and MM. I don't recall any really hard ones in the first 4 games, but then again, the only ones I memorize for the most part are LOZ and ALTTP, and I've played through those two many times. But that's my only complaint about the newer games. The puzzles are too easy, and that makes the game too easy. Especially TP. I was disappointed with that game's difficulty.

I really like those parts. XD Okay, so you do the shit with the beavers and I'll get the Zora eggs.I can't think of anything specific, so I'll just say... AoL as a whole. Argh, that game. >:/

This isn't an in-game frustration, but most of the boss fights on Youtube are basically ultra fast runs that completely shut down the bosses and even prevent them from doing certain interesting attacks. As a result, the videos aren't really entertaining and blend together.
