So yeah. TF3 is filming in Chicago right now, so as you might expect, lots of photos and videos up on the net from the locals.

First up, an interesting shot of the three new NASCAR racers - base don actual racers I mgiht add - tricked out Mad Max style. Stunticons perhaps? Also includes Bumblebee with a newly modified paintjob, the sweet new Ferrari 456 Italia (Hot Rod/Rodimus?), Ratchet with a totally new look (to give an excuse to make a new toy, of course, though maybe this time they'll at least give us a remolded head a la NEST/Recon Ironhide), and if you squint, Sideswipe in the back, now as a convertible Stingray concept. Wonder if they'll get around to making that the enw Corvette after all.

Same cast of characters in the chase scene being filmed, now with the addition of a blue Mercedes - could either be Jolt in a new body, a new character, or just Sam and/or the other humans following.

Also, Optimus with a trailer.

An extremely G1 inspired trailer.

-fanboy glee-

Also sighted are the twins, Skids and Mudflap, both now as -sigh- black Chevy Sparks, with green and orange accents respectively. Combine this with what we know for sure, and naturally I'm excited. I'll still say I liked and enjoyed Revenge of the Fallen, but I'll also point out I never said it was a good movie. Awesome, yes, but good......yeah. :arcee: I went in expecting Autobots and Decepticons hitting each other, and that's what I got, with some good extras (the entire scene of Megatron, Starscream, and The Fallen aboard tthe Nemesis, Starscream being a coward at the end, Jetfire as a crotchity old man robot) and some.....bad ones. -glances at Twins- So I pretty much expect mroe of the same here.

Besides, worse comes to worse, I'll get some new figures out of the mess. :prime:

These videos are pretty awesome, it's kinda nice just to see them as cars driving around without explosions or bg music.

I got War For Cybertron (an VERY well done videogame). I've got my Transformers fix. My only hope is that WFC get legitimate sequels and that Hasbro doesn't get completely sidetracked creating the movie games.

TF3 won't be something I'll catch in theaters. I'll probably see it on Netflix.

I saw ROTF in theaters and honestly, I don't think I'll ever need to see it again.

ROTF literally had a 45 minute climax. It picked up during the second half though.

No clue why'd they pick to film here - there's all sorts of junk lying around! That's got to get in the way.

Also, here's a video of Shia LeBeouf acting.

I liked the twins. I would be disappointed to not see them again. I'm also sad to see Fox go. I don't think she's that great of an actress. And I use that word very loosely with her. But they did kind of make a big deal out of her character's relationship with Sam. Suddenly giving Sam a new love interest makes me ask "What the fuck?".

The Twins are in here, they're production model Sparks rather then the concepts they were in the prior movie. Presumably Mikaela died story-wise, otherwise, yeah, it's a little weird that they'd break up after going through all that crap it RotF.

Also, this is probably the blue Mercedes in all the set photos.

....yeah. Given the track record of the movies and the plates on the Benz, he'll have a German accent.

Im not the biggest fan of RotF and i dont think Transformers 3 will be any better. Im with CFS with the "What the Fuck?" about the new love interest.

First and foremost, the officer involved was shaken, but not injured. Otherwise, I wouldn't be about to make a crappy joke.

That said....

BUMBLEBEE! Noooooooooooooooo!!!!!

And it's official - Transformers 3 is Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

-probably the only person who hears "Bark at the Moon" instead of "The Darkside of the Moon" when hearing that title-

Some reason I don't like it, but oh well. I'll still love it anyway.

I read at AICN that Megatron's new alt mode is supposed to be some bizarro form of Optimus'.

Well, I'm certain Mr. Bay will outdo himself with the robot carnage. I'm just curious as to whether or not they'll be an honest to goodness shot at a plot this time.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahah.

-cough-

Well, all joking aside, they say they're trying, but....yeah, we'll see. Much like RotF, I'm going in expecting Autobots and Decepticons hitting each other 'till something explodes. Anymore beyond that, good or bad, is just extra. I would prefer it to be good stuff, but eh, long as I get a decent set of figures from it I'll be pleased.

If nothing else, RotF gave me an incredibly awesome Optimus Prime.

I like it. Nice and subtle like the first movie's teaser, and it actually teases you rather then show random clips.

This isn't the Super Bowl commercial (though if the alst few years are any indication, it'll probably pop up Friday or Saturday), but it's a Super Bowl Commercial

I'd say Bumblebee's a jerk, but I probably would be too if some mascot started hitting me in the chest with a mallet.

And there's the Super Bowl Trailer.

Where do I even start....

Certainly looks like a full-on Decepticon invasion of Earth this time around, which certainly is quite a different plan of attack then the usual across all versions of the franchise. Hmm, I wonder if those ships transform...

Flying bird thing seems to share the same design aesthetics as Ravage, so it's probably Laserbeak, which is nice.

Kinda wonder what that tentacle drill thing is in the middle.

Optimus has kept his corpse jetpack, though it looks a little different, so it was probably reformatted into the trailer he sports now.

Looks...good. Always looking forward to this anyway, but I'm definitely watching this at midnight.

Well, this movie looks mildly promising. Although I'm trying to refrain from being too hopeful and just going to see Optimus rip more dececpticon faces off.

Now Optimus Prime gets a ticket.

Surprise Daytona 500 Trailer.

Featuring a line by John Tuturro/Seymour Simmons, some new slightly more flattering footage of the new girl, and Bumblebee and the NASCAR racers/Wreckers doing their thing.

I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing this movie now. At first i thought it was going to be crappy in comparison but now I think it will defy one of the greatest unwritten laws of movie making. "It all goes down hill after the first sequel." I think this might actually be the best one (based off the commercial.) I will say that I don't like that this seems like the mos epic Transformers movie but they got some cute little baby doll of a girl to replace Megan Fox when they needed a hot warrior princess or something of that nature to go with the epicness. But I guess I need to see the movie.

Well.....first it was July 1st, then June 29th, and now it looks like the movie will be opening at 9:00PM on Tuesday, June 28th...

....only on IMAX 3-D screens. On the pros, my theatre is an IMAX 3D equipped screen.

On the cons, I refuse to see any movie in 3-D, even this one.

So eh, 3 hours later at midnight in 2-D for me. :arcee:
